I just looked at my last "sermon" I typed down in "why people leave our churches" and saw it was #1999. If I do my math right (hey, I teach in a public university) that means this post will hit the 2000 mark. tongue.gif
I want this to be a paean of thanks for what this BB has meant to me in the past 12 months.

An outlet for my gift of teaching, to share truths from 30+ years in the ministry with others
An opportunity to learn from some really great people - all different levels of experience, education, age, gender
An outlook that broadened from my ifb position to see the views and rationale of Baptists from a spectrum of theological positions
An open heart to share in the real needs and burdens of brothers and sisters in Christ
An obligation to our Webmaster to continue HIS vision of a great BB that will develop and strengthen the church
An option to the "garbage" on the net, to look forward each day to reading posts (and responding 2000 times) on good issues that have "meaning"
A oneness with each contributor, even though some stay for a short time, some "lurk" and never post, and some have weird theology (unlike mine that is always right)
An obtrusive love for the Lord, permeating my life, as I have grown to know Him and love Him better during the past 12 months
An ongoing desire to continue on the BB, to help where I can, opine where I should, refrain when oil is needed on troubled waters, and press toward 3000[/list] :cool:Thanks to all three of you who actually read my posts rather than skip over them to the more interesting fare! redface.gif
