Well the flag burning amendment missed approval by one vote in the Senate. So while flag burning may continue, there are some considerations to be made.

    1. What are the effects of the second hand smoke from a burning flag? How dangerous is inhaling a synthetic flag with dye in it? Is this a cancer causing carcinigent?

    2. What are the effects of the burning synthetics and dye to the ozone? Is this contributing to global warming?

Because of the potential harmful effects of flag burning it is important to begin appropriate regulation of this dangerous and potentially harmful activity.

Flag burning should be limited to areas that do not put innocent bystanders in harms way of the second hand smoke. Large crowds are a potential hazard and danger.

The EPA should begin research into needful regulations of this practice to protect our environment from the harmful materials. released into the atmosphere.

There is another danger you forgot to mention:

    1. If you burn a flag in front of many war vets, you are in extreme danger of losing your teeth.

I do not want tax dollars spent on useless legislation like this, that will only lead to more money spent on appeals.

Whilst seeing someone burn my flag, as a veteran, causes some consternation, I am pleased to see that my fight for freedom is still working. The more attention we pay to it, the more people will do it. They think it gets attention.

Cheers, and God bless freedom, the most precious privilege we can enjoy.

Oh, that doesn't shock me: I find it interesting that I see the items from his show materialize on the board, despite finding very few people who actually admit to listening to him.......

I doubt you heard what I have said on his show. And I did not deny listening to him. In fact I said just the opposite. But I didnt hear this and neither did you.

Did I claim that you said otherwise? Did I specifically accuse you of doing this? Nope, I sure didn't - simply pointed out that I have seen a substantial amount of his subject matter reproduced on the board.

As a matter of fact, I made it a point to write very generically. In contrast you write in absolute terms:

You are wrong. I did indeed hear Rush talking about this. I heard it yesterday, and in fact I heard something similar today, in the form of a commercial for "Demco's" new flag.

    No problem. It happens....

BTW, I looked at your profile, and added you and Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church to my prayer list. I like to pray for all the pastors on this board - that God will watch over you and give you wisdom as you lead your flock.

May God shower you with His Blessings,
    BiR
