I am having trouble getting the curser to show up in the text box when trying to post. I can not cut and paste at all.

Try changing the text box to Basic Editor...

Go to User CP > Edit Options > scroll down to Message Editor Interface > select Basic Editor - a simple text box > Save Changes.

This will change the Quick Reply box to a regular typing area. You will have to manually enter any BBCode you use (unless you use BBCodeXtra in Firefox like I do).

I took the middle road - and mine seems to be working better as well.
