Can anyone give the list of songs in order to the Hash chorus? I'm curious as to how many different ones are out there.

Do you mean the ones where bits and pieces of other songs are put together forming a new song?

"The Happy Wanderer"

Isn't He wonderful, wonderful, wonderful
Isn't Jesus my Lord wonderful.
Eyes have seen ears have heard - it's recorded in God's Word
Isn't Jesus my Lord wonderful . . .Oh . . .

Wonderful, wonderful Jesus is to me,
Counselor, Prince of Peace, Mighty God is He.
Saving me, keeping me, from all sin and shame.
Wonderful is my Redeemer praise His name.

Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of Heav'n;
Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of eart and joy of . .. .

Heaven is better than this - praise God what joy and bliss
Walking on streets of solid gold-
'way up there where we'll never grow old.
Heaven is better than this - praise God what joy and bliss I like "Southwest Baptist"* here - but heaven is better than . .. .

This world is not my home - I'm just a passin' through
My treasures are laid up - somewhere beyond the blue
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world any . . .

More, more about Jesus - more, more about Jesus
More of His saving fullness see -
More of His Love who died for me.

Here is how we used to sing it back in the early 70's...

Let's talk about Jesus the King of kings is He
The Lord of lords Supreme throughout eternity
The Great I AM the Way, the Truth, The Life, the Door
Let's talk about Jesus more and more.

Hope of earth and joy of Heav'n;
Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of eart and joy of . .. .

Heaven is a wonderful place
Filled with Glory and Grace
I want to see my Savior's face
Heave is a wonderful place

But until then my heart will go on singing
Until then with joy I'll carry on
Until the day my eyes behold that city
Until the day God call me home

I remember that one, too.

Thank you both for responding. The one that we sing is a combination of the two. I'm not sure that I have it all, but it basically goes like this...

"The Happy Wanderer"

Isn't He wonderful, wonderful, wonderful
Isn't Jesus my Lord wonderful.
Eyes have seen ears have heard - it's recorded in God's Word
Isn't Jesus my Lord ...

Wonderful, wonderful Jesus is to me,
Counselor, Prince of Peace, Mighty God is He.
Saving me, keeping me, from all sin and shame.
Wonderful is my Redeemer praise His name.

Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of Heav'n;
Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of . .. .

Heaven is a wonderful place
Filled with Glory and Grace
I want to see my Savior's face
Heaven is a wonderful place

This world is not my home - I'm just a passin' through
My treasures are laid up - somewhere beyond the blue
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world any . . .

More, more about Jesus - more, more about Jesus
More of His saving fullness see -
More of His Love who died for me.

But until then my heart will go on singing
Until then with joy I'll carry on
Until the day my eyes behold that city
Until the day God calls me home

I have also seen it something like this:

"The Happy Wanderer"

Isn't He wonderful, wonderful, wonderful
Isn't Jesus my Lord wonderful.
Eyes have seen ears have heard - it's recorded in God's Word
Isn't Jesus my Lord ...

Wonderful, wonderful Jesus is to me,
Counselor, Prince of Peace, Mighty God is He.
Saving me, keeping me, from all sin and shame.
Wonderful is my Redeemer praise His name.

Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of Heav'n;
Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of . .. .

Heaven is a wonderful place
Filled with Glory and Grace
I want to see my Savior's face
Heaven is a wonderful place

But until then, my heart will go on singing,
Until then, with joy I’ll carry on,
Until the day, my eyes behold that city,
Until the day God calls me home.

To me He is so wonderful
To me He is so wonderful
To me His is so wonderful
To know that Jesus is ..

Mine, mine, mine, mine,
Jesus is mine.
Mine when I’m weary mine when I’m dreary.
Mine, mine, mine, Jesus us mine
Jesus is always…

Wonderful, wonderful…

I was brought up singing a different "Hash Chorus." It was a spin-off of the familiar little chorus, Every Day With Jesus:

The original:

Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.
Every day with Jesus I love Him more and more.
Jesus saves and keeps me, and He's the one I'm living for,
Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.

Now the hash version:

Every day with Jesus, I'll be walking down the King's Highway.
Tell me the old, old story,
I love it better every day, Hallelujah!
I will make you fishers of men,
If you'll only follow me.
Hallelujah, what a Savior!
I'm from sin set..
I'm from sin set..
I'm from sin set free.

That's the one I learned. I like the other one, too.

Tom B.

I'd forgotten that version. I remember it from years ago, but couldn't have remembered it all. Thanks for sharing!

c4k...

I really like your version, but I'm not familiar with the last two tunes. Love the words though! I'll have to check my hymnal!

I got the last three lines wrong on my Hash chorus.

They are

I'm from sin set..
You're from sin set..
We're all from sin set free.

Here's another one .. .

"Every Promise in the Book"

Every promise in the Book is mine
Every chappter, every verse, every line
All the blessings of His love divine
Every promise in the Book is...

Mine, mine, mine, mine
Jesus is mine
Mine when I'm weary
Mine when I'm cheery
Mine, mine, mine, mine
Jesus is Mine
Jesus is always...

Wonderful, wonderful,
Jesus is to me
Counsellor, Prince of Peace
Mighty God is He
Saving me, keeping me
From all sin and shame
Wonderful is my Redeemer
Praise His name...

Precious name,
Oh, how sweet
ope of earth and joy of Heav'n
Precious name
Oh, how sweet
Hope of earth and joy of...

Heaven is better than this
Praise God, what joy and bliss
Walking on streets of solid gold
'Way up there where we'll never grow old
Heaven is better than this,
Praise God, what joy and bliss
I like the Baptist Board* down here
But Heaven is better than this.
