Well what can I say. The Time is know when God shall start Judging within the Church. I left this place because there was alot of hate going on. I did not fill any love what so ever. I see alot of banned people two. I do not know what they have done. But I had one that was banned and his name is Brother Bob. I still haven't seen or herd why he was banned. But that is not my place and I am not the host. I know all of us are not going to have every thing in commen but we sould have one thing in commen and that is Jesus Christ. He said to love one another. Does that mean cast them out? No. Did Jesus Christ cast you out or banned you friend? Is your heart harden. I love all of you and fill sadden in my soul for this place. 1Jn 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Is casting someone out love?1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1Jn 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. Brothers and Sisters are we not Borned of God.1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. How many times has God forgiven you? And how many time did Jesus tell us to forgive our brother. Stop and think about it. Is this worth more than your brother or sister. Is this worth more than God? I am sorry but I pick Love and that is from God. I charge you all to look at yourself and remeber where you was when GOD saved you from your sins and forgave ALL that you have done wrong in his sight for we ALL have done it. Love your Brothers and Sisters. But above all of it love your enemies. Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, LOVE your enemies, BLESS them that curse you, do GOOD to them that hate you, and PRAY for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; (That ye may be the children of your Father.) God bless.

It is the greatest demonstration of love for a parent to teach the child that all of his life he will be under authority, and the sooner he learns it, the better off he will be. The scripture affirms that a father who will not discipline his child does not love him.

In this case, the authority is Andrew, who owns this site, his administrators and moderators. They have carefully laid out the posting rules. Those who do not abide by the rules find themselves the object of authority.

Those administrators and moderators who fail to apply the rules have demonstrated disrespect for Andrew's authority, their agreement to submit to it; and a lack of love for for those who do seek to discuss the things of God in a godly manner.

When a church disfellowships a member, it is not showing a lack of love. It is exercising a love which has at its heart a redemptive purpose.

Man I did not know this was a church and if it is I want my name taken out of it. I thought this was a place people can come and debate things of God.
And yes DHK this is a debate room and the topic is to debate the love of GOD brother. Or are you going to close it. God bless you. Andrew if you are going to up hold your rules you need to up hold all of it. Take my name off because God can only Judge me.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

From what I have seen, the vast majority of those who have been banned were trolls. not all, but the details have not been given, nor should they. I run a forum of 48000+ members and would have axed many a lot sooner than was done here, but that was because of grace.

there is a lot of love around this forum. I have brought concerns to my brothers and sisters in Christ and have felt their prayers lifting the circumstances before the throne. I have been taught and rebuked, and have hopefully helped teach others. I have made some wonderful friends here and have even got to meet one in person (so far).

Even churches have their disagreements, and so it is with an online forum where people can be nameless and faceless and can say anything without fear. Such anonymity can let the worst in people rise to the surface... but it can also bring out the very best in others. I look for those that are sharing their best and leave the others to the moderator staff.

Ya I new that would come out of you. You do not even get my point. If the rules are going to be inforced then let all of them be inforced. See the thing is IT HAS BEEN SAID and it has been done and they have got away with it. That is way I will let God Jugde my cause because with man I would already be condemed.

While this is not a church, I believe it is "church members" that is "Christians" who are posting here.

Are we not all supposed to act like Christians, here?

Yes it is a debate place. But one can (or should, IMO) be able to debate and disagree without being disagreeable, wouldn't you say?

Incidentally, I checked, and in the last two months, exactly one thread on 11 pages of threads was closed by DHK. That leaves way more than 300 threads, that are running.

I have no idea what any personal disagreement you (or any other) might have with DHK might be, nor do I particularly care. As far as I know, you have certainly broken no BB rules here, so why should this even be any issue? Granted, I do not have any more authority on the BB (nor do I certainly have any great desire for such) than do you or any other member who is not a Moderator or Administrator.

And what can be any possible debate about the love of God?? I thought he loved the world, and that is why He sent His only Son to the cross, for us. And also why we are to love the brothers and sisters in the Lord, as well, among other things. (Jn. 3:8-17; I Jn. 4)

Well, I'm confused. I must have misunderstood. I thought part of the OP complaint was that banning some people sprang from a lack of love and forgiveness on the part of the moderators. Did I misread the OP?

If the complaint is that banning was not done fairly or equitably, then I can't comment about that. Except to say that the reason for banning some was obvious, others not so obvious.

When Paul chastised the Corinthian congregation for failing to disfellowship the man who was having an affair with his father's wife, he was not gentle in the least. When he opposed the Judaizers, his anger was obvious. When Paul faced down Peter for his hypocrisy, should he have been nicer about it?

I also don't understand why the trolls are getting a pass and the moderators who banned them are under fire. Since you do not wish to be judged by them, I, too, will not judge you. I will leave to others to determine if they detect a sense of self-righteousness in the OP that is a bit off-putting.

Ed I expected more from you. Go look at the closed threads brother and all that young name did was speak his mind and he was not out of line. DHK said in that thread if he knew it was a topic on complaint he would have closed it along time ago . The brother that was banned said that he did complain to a Moderator and NOTHING was done I have also complain to a Moderator and NOTHING was done and the thing that was done to me was against BB rule. But the BB wants us to fallow the rules. (WHICH ONEs) ALL OF THEM OR THE ONE THAT FIT the Moderators.

I am not talking about all the Moderator. Settle down. You Moderator bomb that person on that thread.Shameful

While I am not a Moderator, and generally do not want to see anyone banned (I do not recall ever even suggesting any be banned, except for maybe one or two individuals who were blatant bigoted racists, and maybe even then I only asked that the thread be closed, for that has been a while ago.) I believe I did also suggest that the unnamed thread in question should be closed (and that it be closed by one who had not been mentioned in any manner on the thread to avoid any appearance of a conflict), for I saw it as a personality disagreement, and with multiple charges and counter-charges, that I personally thought were unbecoming to the name of Christ, and also to the Board. You can check the entire thread, actually, and see where I made some posts on it.

Incidentally, I also suggested that the entire thread should be deleted as inappropriate, but apparently the BB brass saw it as otherwise, for one can still read it. Said young man also announced he was not interested in anything I might have to say, and that was his privilege. I did not question that, at all.

I'll repeat that I usually have no desire for anyone to be banned, but that is not my decision, nor have I ever particularly agreed with such. I also happen to have a good personal friend who was banned from the Board. Again, not my call, for good or bad.

We all have agreed to the same rules when joining the BB. And the policies allow for some decision team to make those calls, apparently. You might re-read post # 4 on this thread, for a slightly differing view.

Me? I'm now going to :sleeping_2:

    G'nite, all.

Well you are the Web Master but you are not my master. Praise the Lord God who shall bring every work into Jugdement. This is your work trotter from post4(details have not been given, nor should they). This is the defence of the people that have been BANNED. God shall judge you.

In my neck of the woods words like these would be considered mean spirited. Love works both ways brother.

Well you are not in my woods and in what part was I mean spirited. Was it in the part of defending the ones that have been banned. He said it was by Grace half the people have not been banned yet. But the cause is unknown to him for the ones that have been banned. How is that Grace if you do not know what they have done to not get the Grace that he speaks.. Is that rightess judgement? It all comes before a Judge and he is the Web Master. So be all of you scared to speak the TRUTH. Be silent or be banned. For me I will speak the truth.

So one who breaks the rules should not reap consequences? Don't we reap what we sow? If one decides to break the law, should they not be held accountable? If one is in a church and is living in blatant sin, and they will not listen to the discipline of the church, should they continue to fellowship with the church and thus bringing decay to the entire body?

I'm sorry but when you joined Baptist Board, you had to agree to rules. When you break those rules, there are written consequences. I know for a fact that all are given a chance with warnings, which is especially gracious but at some point, some need to be held accountable and banned.

Is it love when I allow my children to lie? Is it love when I do not discipline them for doing so?

Proverbs 3:11-12 "My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.

Proverbs 13:24 "He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him."

Hebrews 12:5-7 "And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons:
"My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline,
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."
Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?

Revelation 3:19 "Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent."

Proverbs 12:1 "Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid."

FTR, Trotter is not the Webmaster, and Administrator, or a Moderator on the Baptist Board, nor did he claim to be such.

What he did say was that he runs another forum with more than 48,000 members, which would make it have roughly 5 times the number of members as the Baptist Board.

And he is certainly not "Andrew Trotter" nor is there any such member of the Baptist Board.

Why did you accept the rules of BB if you do not want to allow the moderators to carry them out?

I would suggest that this also might be a "two-edged sword" that can cut both ways.
Personally, I appreciate both AndrewT and his predecessor, webmaster, although I was not here long before he sold the site, but who incidentally is still around, even if not very often, for as the owners of the Baptist Board, they have allowed and given me the opportunity to have this forum on which to converse, fellowship and teach, especially when I was recovering from two major surgeries. This was about the only thing I could physically do for about 7-8 mos. without complete exhaustion (about 3 mos. the first time, and 4-5 mos. the second) and I do very much appreciate that opportunity, for by no means would it have been possible without them. :godisgood:

So again, thanks to both AndrewT and webmaster.

I might even be the only one who thinks this even, but I fully believe you will both receive a reward for this effort, at the Bema. :applause:

Ya some of them are and some of them are not. GET MY POINT. I was degraded about 6 mouth ago and told a moderator and nothing was done. That is not my Point I am over that. I come back in hear and see a person on a thread getting bite by a back of DOGS from a lot of moderators and one moderator even said he sould of told a moderator about his broblem. And the person that was told that did tell a moderator and nothing was done. Then DHK comes in the room and closed it because it was not the place to complain. Ok DHK if he told a moderator about his problem and nothing was done then where is that place to complain at. If you was degraded what would you do? I stayed away from this place for 6 mouths. I came back in hear and it still going on. Something is wrong. I am surely done. My God bless you.

Maybe all is not as you perceive. I was around that evening. Did you know that individual repeatedly started thread after thread, at least a half a dozen (if not more) that were very disruptive to the site, and ugly in nature? They had to be deleted because they were completely out of line, and an embarrassment. Did you know the starter of the threads also made the statement that he knew by doing so he expected to get banned, but kept it up when others repeatedly asked him to stop?

Don't be so quick to judge others when you are not in position to know all the facts.

Thank you Steven. This is exactly the case. What occurred was not pretty but the moderators did their job properly from what I watched. And I did watch much of it.

I love the poster who was banned. Don't think that I have anything against him. I was there through his difficult time and I'd do it again in a heartbeat and I want to continue to be a friend, listening ear, cheerleader and sister in Christ to him as long as I can. I look forward to the day when I can finally meet him - in this life or the next, I don't know. However, I disagreed with all that he posted and I saw that he really backed the moderators into the wall with all of his posts.

Baptist Board is not a right for any one of us. We are here, in Andrew's home as guests. He has chosen certain people to help run this home and we are to abide by his rules. If we do not agree with what is going on, we can try to go to him to appeal and if we do not get satisfaction, it is our choice as to whether or not we are going to stay. If we stay, it is not to go around bad-mouthing anyone but to just move on. If one cannot move beyond what happened, then it's best to move on away from the site.

I'm sorry you disagree with this. I help to run another site and I would have banned this same member too, unfortunately. It was what needed to be done. I don't know why he got so angry but I hope that in this time that he's away, he can get some clarity. I do hope he's just suspended but I don't know. I was definitely saddened by the whole thing, though.
