Obama's Administration Taking Your Right To Grow Your Own Food

    It is everyone’s God given right to eat and take care of them selves; however there is some new legislation in congress under our new administration that would forbade us to such rights if we don't all do something about it. There are numerous bills being fast tracked through congress to put an end to all organic/privately held ranchers and farmers. These bills look friendly at first glance i.e. trying to protect the general public from food borne illnesses but they are not. I would assume those of you who garden for hobby are already well aware of some of these laws if not all of them and there they are as follows: HR 875, S 425, HR 814, HR 759

    Below is an email I wrote to another health organization that will clearly spell out how to find these laws for yourself online and contact your congressmen to oppose them.

    Please email your representative and all your senators. More importantly these bills are in the following committees you must email these folks or call them and tell them this is not what is best for the health of the population for a number of reasons here are just a few. The top ten killers in the US are as follows: Heart Disease, Cancer, Stroke, Chronic Lower Resp. Disease, Accidents, Diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, Influenza/Pneumonia, Nephritis, and Septicemia. None of these have anything to do with food borne illnesses nor can any agency on the planet can prove we have a severe food borne illness issue. If they are so worried about the population’s health why not tackle the top ten killers in the US. What has been proven is many herbicides/pesticides that farmers use are closely linked to cancer. The first lady (Mrs. Obama) just started her own organic garden to promote a healthy public; according to HR 875 if it were to pass she will potentially be breaking the law; so why the confliction? Mrs. Obama promoting healthy ORGANIC food and new legislation clearly stating that in order to promote health farmers/ranchers must use harsh chemicals and drugs? Lastly these bills are causing unjust overhead to the small organic farmer who will be forced to either raise their prices or go out of business leaving the large agriculture factories a monopoly.

    No problem and thanks for taking the time to read this. This is quite serious; it will take away your right to grow your own food and to choose what type of food you ingest. To some this may seem trivial but the government is essentially making us serfs. I am quite sure God did not intend for man to tamper with the genetics of the food he provides nor force that fake food down others throats. The type of food they want us all to eat is very very harmful. For those who don’t believe me do some research and find out how safe GMO’s really are not to mention the chemicals they use on cows.

    Yes, did you? As far as I can tell, these have nothing to do with home gardens. For example, from HR 875:
    (b) Applicability- Traceability requirements under this section shall apply to food from food production facilities, food establishments, and foreign food establishments.

    Don't see a thing there about a home garden for personal consumption. Do you?

    If you righties would spend as much time trying to work on real issues rather than getting yourselves all atwitter over alarmist nonsense, the country would be a lot better off.

    I don't get it, you say Obama is out lawing home gardens then link to a strory of Michelle planting on at the white house???


    So you're saying he outlawed his wifes garden? Is that the story?

    These bills which are being considered by Congress is favoring Corporate farms and food production facilities... and while many here may think the bills will have no influence on the family garden..... the truth is that they are part of an attempt to eventually control the food supply and availability of food. Regulations related to environmental concerns, sustainable development, waste water runoff and enviromental impact from gardening chemicals and pesticides, and the plan to implant chips in all animals whether pets or livestock.... and have records kept of movement between pastures or owner transferr, are already in various stages of implimentation and or bill drafting and will impact the small property/farm owner..... with paperwork, accounting and records, and expenses, and possible fines or costly legal defense expenses in the event a charge of violation is made.... whether or not convicted: This too has a way of preventing independant intiative.

    Monsanto...... saccharin, caffeine, vanillin, DDT, Agent Orange, polystyrenes, dioxins, PCBs, mustard gas, aspartane, BT cotton, GMO corn-soyabeans-canola etc., cross pollination contaminating non-patented crops, terminator seed, patents on livestock and off spring, Posilac, Roundup, mercury contamination, 50 superfund sites in US alone, ............ a dirty giant company that wants everyone to think good about it while it seeks to control the markets and kill competition!
