The best coffee is from Sumatra
Instant is made from inferior beans and never has a really good coffee taste.

    Decaf? Is that really coffee?
I like my coffee strong- real strong, like expresso. Which is the only way it is served really. In the US its Starbucks for me. Oh Tim Horton's is good too. Ahhh how I miss Tim Horton's coffee!

Drinking decaf is like drinking non-alcoholic beer -- yeech!!!

Favorite "American" coffees are Seattle's Best and Dunkin' Donuts.

Prefer Cuban expresso coffee or cafe con leche.

I drink regular in the morning. If I have coffee in the late afternoon or evening I'll drink decaf. Back in the day I could drink coffee right up to bed time with no problem with the caffeine.

No caffeine at all for me, and I really hate coffee.

A friend of ours was on his honeymoon and was having breakfast with his lovely blond wife. The waitress asked how he'd like his coffee and he responded "I like my coffee like my women." and she looked at his wife and said "Awww - light and sweet?" He just looked at his wife then looked at the waitress with an absolutely straight face and said "No! Strong and black." He kept a straight face as the waitress walked away shocked. LOL

It really depends on the circumstances for me. I'll use all 3 kinds of coffee. I don't like overly strong coffee (aka Starbucks) but love me a good cup of regular old regular most of the time. I am finding now that the caffeine IS affecting me so after 6PM, I'll drink decaf and sometimes I'll just get myself a 1/2 and 1/2.

Oh - I like no sugar and half and half in my coffee.

1/2 spoon of instant coffee, some milk and low calorie sweeter (non-sugar) does me fine. I don't even boil the water. Two minutes in microwave does it fine. Even at the local cafe I only have half a cup of coffee. I always have a cup before going to bed, but never tea at that time. No problem with coffee keeping me awake, but tea will.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Regular for me. I really don't see the point of decaf.

I've used that line often (not on my honeymoon though). Now, my wife just rolls her eyes.

Cafe con Leche IS breakfast here in Argentina. Good stuff especially with a couple of medialunas (pastry like a croissant) or facturas (pasty like ???).

I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but if I drink coffee or even soda I will always drink caffinated. Drinking decafinated coffee defeats the purpose. Drinking coffee is mostly to wake you up in the morning.

Several cups a day of regular; occasionally switching to half/half after 4 or more. Half regular and half decaf to me tastes 3/4 regular. Oh, and black; no "doctoring." In fact, there needs to be a more comprehensive poll than reg., decaf, or both. It will be coming up.

With guava pastries (pastelitos) or plain tostada. You're right -- that is breakfast. Often, my wife makes cafe con leche so I can drink it on my way to work -- makes the drive much better.

Some people can't handle caffeine so well; makes them jittery and/or nervous.

By going decaf they get all the flavor of coffee without the caffeine.

One thing I also don't understand is why there are people that will drink hot coffee when it is hot outside.
