Mods: I put this in this forum simply because at least 95% of this topic was involved in this forum. Thanks!!!

I would like to apologize to all on this board, and to you, LeBuick and JustChristian in particular.

I have been convicted by the Holy Spirit for my manner of replies to both of you, that have not been very Christ-like; in fact very UN-Christ-like and serving my own pride rather than furthering His kingdom!

Just to be clear, I make no apology for attacking the content of the posts of you two, but strictly the manner in which I have done so!

I have been un-necessarily cutting and patronizing in many of my replies, and I should have been (and aim to be in the future) more kind, calm and rational in denouncing what I believe to be fallacious agendas/beliefs etc.

As stated, I am not apologizing for, nor do I intend to desist in, denouncing what I perceive as beliefs and or policies that are detrimental to our Christ or nation, but I do vow to do it in a more kindly fashion.

In His name, I do beg your forgiveness for such needless and useless blather from me!

That shows courage and character. I know it wasn't aimed at me, but thanks for what you've said :).

lighten up will ya? I get tired of these maudlin tear-jerking apologies from pseudo-Christians every time they get in to a little heated debate. Where are the Billy Sundays and the Patrick Henrys anymore. Sheeesh!

Well, we know who the men are and appreciate that. It is nice to see an apology now and then, not for subject matter, but attitude in presentation. That is how it should be. As scripture says:
"Watch you, stand fast in faith, quit you like men, be strong...." so says Paul in 1 Cor 16:13

    Cheers, and bless,

    Jim

I don't think it is "maudlin" to do what is right, especially when it comes to obeying the Holy Spirit.

Someone who will make light of an apology and at the same time cast doubt on one's salvation (pseudo-Christians), which is against the rules, should look to their own standing with God before posting such unkind words toward a Christian brother.
