The reason ? For all the posturing of both these me, we have no intention of weaning ourselves off Saudi Oil.

Aren't there enough legitimate reasons to criticize him ?

Too bad that picture is an obvious fake.

 

MP's pic is not a fake, to my knowledge. But it could be. The Bush-Saudi King holding hands is not a fake.

But when Obama bowed before the Saudi muslim king, he sent a powerful signal to the muslim world that we are in obeisance to them. Since he did not bow before Queen Elizabeth, one can only assume he knew full well what he was doing (despite the protests from the WH to the contrary after the bru-ha-ha and caught on video) and that Obama deliberately made this gesture. Kinda like an animal baring it's throat to the Alpha male. I see this as treason.

Several years ago, my college roommate was going to meet a japanese businessman. We told him that if a person bowed to you, it was because they wanted you to rub their head for good luck.

Poor fella nearly got himself slapped. Never believed a word I said after that.

The holding hands is not fake...I agree with that.

The kissing one is an obvious photoshop. There are artifacts all around Bush's head. I could have done a better job at photoshopping that one and I'm not that good. The one that everyone calls kissing is this one:

 

Oh..and in the picture I posted, what's up with Condi and the guy in the read head thing? Looks like she might have found a man! :laugh:

 

He curtsied to the queen also. It is just a sign of respect, acknowledging their position in the country. If we had a custom like this, the King would comply when he visited Obama in the US. I don't see what the big deal is.

 

He did bow to the queen. As he shook her hand he bent at the waste which is the custom.

Actually LeBuick, bowing to the king is much more than a sign of respect. It's a sign of subservience. I don't like unnecessary bashing of anyone, but in this case Obama did a stupid thing. Unless you are a person that is part of that country and are subservient to the king, you don't bow.

 

A leader of the United states has no business bowing to a foreign entity. Especially the terrorist-harboring Saudis.

If he wants to do that, dig up George III, and at least let him do it to one who ruled here at some point.

And since you're about to ask...yes, I didn't like Bush's coziness with those thugs either.

 

Both George Bush and his father George HW Bush had significant personal financial dealings with the Saudi royalty. This had nothing to do with our country and everything to do with Bush's private bank account.
