    Hey I'm new (sort of) been here once before, but canceled my account...

    but I just preached/gave a talk at a church not to long ago...i'd like your thoughts on the sermon.

    Your sermons seem mostly topical, trying to address needs and feelings. I would suggest switching to expository preaching in the main, and topical as the Scripture brings it to bear.

    Hey thanks reformed baptist.

    i hold to the reformed faith as well...my goal is to get to the point of being more expository in my preaching. thanks for the feedback.

    What I do is----------I grab a book under the leadership of the Holy Spirit----right now on Sunday nites I'm preaching through the book of Jude------anyhow-----I simply take the book and preach "verse by verse"---you can't help but be expository-------and then make application like ReformedBaptist has stated above!!!!!!

    hey blackbird,

    just a side note, my dad was on staff at dr. rogers church...i have had the chance to hang out with him once, wow!!!

    i love hearing my dad's stories about him. he has a couple of posters where he and dr. rogers preached together, and dr rogers would start the revival, and my dad would finish it out. pretty cool, i think.
