Since we've had a coffee poll or two, I thought we should have one for tea drinkers. I drink both coffee and tea, but coffee always in the morning. However, I like tea as well!

So pick your favorite kind of tea. If you don't see it, please tell us what it is. Remember, I cannot think of nor put all types in the poll!

Note: This does not include the so-called herbal teas, which are not really tea at all, but rather infusions. Tea must come from a tea leaf plant. So if you like those herbal drinks (chamomille, orange, etc.), we need another poll for that.

Just realized I forgot to put "Other" in the poll! Sorry! If you don't see what you like, just tell us.

I myself needed to vote "Other" but I forgot it. So I chose "I like most varieties," which is true, but right now I am drinking Bigelow's English Teatime (not English breakfast) which I think has the taste closest to real English tea.

I marked English breakfast which is what I'll choose if we're out but at home, it's Tetlea from Britain all the way. I have a good friend who came from England and stocks up for me whenever she goes home. When I run out, Tetlea's British Blend is pretty much the same as the British Tetlea. So I will use that.

Hmmm - now I want a cup of tea! :D BRB - oh, and I like it with milk and sugar.

I would have liked to have asked how people like their tea, too. Maybe another poll?

I have been drinking my English Teatime with evaporated milk, no sugar. Very good!

I answered Lipton Regular, because that is the closest in type and flavor to what I usually drink; however it's not usually Lipton. At home I normally buy Luzianne in 'family size' tea bags to make iced tea; and most of the time I also have Celestial Seasonings around, though I don't drink it very much and keep it long enough to where it loses its flavor. At work, our coffee bars have several kinds, but I normally choose Bigelow Lemon Lift. But since I had a bad cold in February, I have craved more lemon in tea, so I have lately been adding a lot of that acidic juice, whether home or work, hot or cold. And one last thing-- I can't stand sweetened tea.

As long as it's decaf, any brand will do. :)

always decaf, for ced tea, any plain regular decaf will do, for hot tea I love black tea(really strong, no other flavors), but can't find decaf here anymore.

You really can't get decaf tea at the grocery store there? Every store I go to here has it - usually several kinds.

I was teetering between flavored green tea & Lipton. Because I like both, but I just voted for flavored green tea (lemon).

I need the "other" option too Marcia. Oh the injustice that prevents me from voting! This is discrimination I say!

I drink mate the traditional way. But I have notice that in the US there exists a mate craze right now in the health food stores. They sell it it tea bags in case anybody wants to try it.

Make mine Darjeeling or English or Irish Breakfast. No sugar, no milk, and brewed long enough to bring out the flavor. I can't see what anyone can like about Earl Grey - it's all smell and no taste! Once in a while I will go for black tea with orange or lemon or spices.

I enjoy all kinds of tea. Black, green, white, hot, iced, decaf, herbal, whatever...LOL

My favorite is English Breakfast by Twinnings. A close second is Earl Grey. And when I can find it, I stock up on Yorkshire Gold. Can't find it here unless I go to a British store, tho.

I prefer loose tea to teabags. And I make tea in a pot instead of a cup. I drink my tea with milk and Splenda. So good--maybe I'll go make a pot. :)

    Many apologies!

What is "mate?" Do you mean matte - the tea from Brazil?

I tried matte, and it's the only tea I've ever had that I didn't like. My son drinks it, tho. It's very trendy right now!
