Islam helped shape America for the better: Part II

    Let's try the question again. Please don't derail the thread. Please stay on topic. Stories of Muslims serving in our armed forces are irrelevant. Stories of Muslims being smart and/or serving as humanitarians are not relevant. What George Bush said about Islam is not relevant.

    President Obama has stated that Islam has helped shape America for the better.

    Can anyone articulate any facit of Islam that has been used to help shape America for the better? Show the historical evidence to support the claim. If you know the Koran, please show us verses that support the claim.

    If no support can be found to support the claim, the follow up question is...

    ...Why did President Obama makes such an obviously untruthful statement? Is their an agenda to promote Islamic, and downplay Christian, influence in our own country and around the world?

    Posting response: I believe you might be correct, perhaps Obama knew what he was doing by bowing to the king of Mecca.

    Of course, regarding the OP, I am turning blue here holding my breath waiting for an answer from Obamanites.

    I am hopeful it was just a blunder while pandering before a Muslim audience.

    It just seems such a strange statement to me, though.
