The Thomas More Law Center of Ann Arbor, Mich., says it has filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the Department of Homeland Security demanding why it calls Americans who oppose abortion, support 2nd Amendment gun rights and dislike lax immigration law enforcement "extremists."

"This is not an intelligence report but a diatribe against those who oppose the policies of the Obama administration," said Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel for the organization.

"It is a declaration of war against the American people and our constitution. It is a prelude to extreme gun control legislation and hate speech laws targeting Christian churches and others who oppose abortion and same sex marriage," he continued. "The federal government should be focusing its attention on the 35 radical Muslim compounds in the U.S. training its followers on how to kidnap and kill Americans."

If people in this country don't wake up we are going the way of Western Europe, Islam. I know that some people on this Forum take exception to any negative remark about Islam. It is a radical religion and their dogma is convert or perish.

Incidentally there is another thread on this Forum related to the HSD document. That document shows the mindset of the radical left in this country. It is a close call as to which is the most dangerous to our republic, the radical left or Islam.

Thomas More is probably turning over in his grave.

    from wiki

Sir Thomas More also known as Saint Thomas More (in Latin, Sanctus Thomas Morus; 7 February 1478 – 6 July 1535) was an English lawyer, author, and statesman who in his lifetime gained a reputation as a leading Renaissance humanist scholar, and occupied many public offices, including Lord Chancellor (1529–1532). More coined the word "utopia", a name he gave to an ideal, imaginary island nation whose political system he described in the eponymous book published in 1516. He was beheaded in 1535 when he refused to sign the Act of Supremacy that declared King Henry VIII Supreme Head of the Church of England.

The Thomas More Law Center is a conservative Christian, not-for-profit law center based in Ann Arbor, Michigan and active throughout the United States. Its stated goals are defending the religious freedom of Christians,[1] restoring "time honored values" and protecting the sanctity of human life. Its motto is "The Sword and the Shield for People of Faith." The center characterizes itself as "Christianity's answer to the ACLU".[2]
The issues the center pursues, mostly through litigation, are generally in line with modern social conservativism: opposing same-sex marriage and other gay-related causes; opposing pornography; supporting pro-life positions and initiatives, and opposing the removal of the Ten Commandments and other religious monuments from municipal and school buildings.
The center says its lawyers maintain "the highest moral and ethical standards of our Christian faith and our legal profession." The center considers its work "ministry" and states it was inspired by what it calls a "cultural war being waged across America" against "Christians and their faith." A policy statement of the center states "The Thomas More Center seeks to transform the national culture by taking cases across the United States consistent with its mission. The Center currently is handling over 120 legal matters in 27 different states." Currently, the Law Center has cases in 41-44 of 50 states, and has a team of around 300 pro bono attorneys.
Though it is active in many controversial social issues and cases, the center is most widely known for its instigation, litigation and loss of the Dover, Pennsylvania intelligent design case, and its strong pro-life litigation.

Where has Obama said or done anything against Bible believers for being a Christian or believing in the bible?

The radical leftist Obama administration is most afraid of the public they are supposed to serve.

At least half of the public sector will not buy into the Obama push to the left. They are afraid that number will grow when they actually realize America is being stolen from Americans by the Obamanites.

    It's growing already.

I looked and can tell you what I see, there seems to be a little anger from the "real and true American's" when they realize how the "other American's" view them. What the "real American's" don't seem to understand is that they are proving the accusations of the "other American's" when they react as they are reacting. No one here should fit the definition of those described in either the Bush or Obama report so should have no reason to be outraged. In fact, it was these same outraged people who said Obama would do nothing to protect American's.

What I see in your response, is that there must be a similar separation among Christians. You are implying that there are a set of Christians, whose ideologies, beliefs and actions makes them the only Bible believing Christians. I must remind you that Christ has only one Church. And its membership is based solely on faith in Christ and not on a political view. If Christ required a particular political viewpoint to be saved, He would have made the condition of salvation faith and that political view point.

OP statement doesn't compute. A FIA request goes to a low level clerk who's job isn't to explain anything to anyone. He copies a requested document and mails it.

I'm wondering what purpose this Richard Thompson diatribe against the Obama administration serves. He's talking about a report that was created while George W. Bush was still in office.

Come to think of it I'm wondering why Obama hasn't pointed this little tid bit of information out himself? There isn't anything about this that computes. Unless I'm right about Obama and Bush being sock puppets of course.
