"LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Dom DeLuise, who spiced up such movies as "Blazing Saddles," "Silent Movie" and "The Cannonball Run" with his manic delivery and roly-poly persona, has died, his son's publicist said. Publicist Jay Schwartz did not disclose the cause of death, but DeLuise, 75, had been battling cancer for more than a year. DeLuise was surrounded by family when he died in a Santa Monica, California, hospital Monday night, son Michael DeLuise told CNN affiliate KTLA." -More Here

I'm sorry to hear that. I remember him mostly as a cast member on the Dean Martin Show.

His son is on a show my children like.

I really enjoyed Dom over the years. I believe Don Rickles is one of the few characters featured regularly on the Dean Martin show still living.

Almost forgot, DeLuise was in a mostly forgotten movie with Jerry Reed called "Hot Stuff", which was one of the most side splittingly funny movies I think I've ever seen.

I hope he was born again. I always liked him, as he was so funny.
