    Hi all,

What style of worship do you all like?

    • Regulative Principle of Worship with Exclusive Psalmody - only those elements that are instituted or appointed by command or example in the Bible are permissible in worship, or in other words, that God institutes in the Scriptures everything he requires for worship in the Church and that everything else is prohibited. (Exclusive Psalmody - the particular worship practice of several small Protestant denominations worldwide which use a metrical version of the Book of Psalms from the Bible as the only manual of songs that may be sung in their services.)

    • Regulative Principle of Worship without Exclusive Psalmody

    • Normative Principle of Worship - a Christian theological principle that teaches that worship in the Church can include those elements that are not prohibited by Scripture.
I prefer normative myself and liturgical I do like too.

I have no idea what any of those are. I like a service with lots of good southern gospel singing and a strong gospel message.

I'm sort of Normative with a splash of Regulative. Not EP. I'm like Joh-Marc, I like Southern Gospel too much.

That's why I included definitions :). RPW is worship the way God says, no more no less and normative is worship the way God says and more or less as long as it doesn't violate Scripture.

    ----------

I wonder how many people worship for themselves and how many worship for God.

I'm closer to regulative with a splash of normative. Not EP either, but would be if it was a choice between southern Gospel or the Psalms.
