Just one day after learning that Carrie Prejean will keep her Miss California crown, state pageant director Shanna Moakler resigned.

According to a report in Us magazine, the co-pageant director and former Miss USA said it was “in her best interest to resign.”........

.........Moakler has appeared in her own ad supporting gay rights, shooting a print ad on April 28 that slammed Proposition 8, the initiative that banned gay marriage in California.

It makes me wonder if the questions were predetermined by her. To make it fair for the other contestants, they should pose the same question to everyone. What would happen if all 50 answered that they believe marriage is defined between a man & a woman. What would they do? Try to find dirty pictures of them to get them to lose their crowns?

I think that's all the fuss was about was her answer on homosexual marriage. If she said that she favored it, those pictures wouldn't have surfaced. Again, Carrie Prejean has my highest respect for refusing to compromise, refusing to apologize for her beliefs, & not backing down one inch.:thumbsup:

That's good. Moakler certainly isn't the "role model" a state pageant director should be to young aspiring women.

She was probably trolling for dates.

Shocker: beauty pageants are overrun with homosexuals.

Next thing we know, we'll hear there are figure skaters that are gay. Perish the thought!

This whole mess is an embarassment on both sides as far as I'm concerned. Little Miss California isn't exactly the role model I'd like for young girls to follow. Yes, I'm glad she spoke her mind but the pictures she posed for prior to the contest ruin any credibility she had as a Christian and role model for young ladies and young girls.

Its a shame that there a lot of homosexual males working in those pagents.

For me, that would be a dream job come true. You can't go wrong with being surrounded by beautiful ladies. If I were involved in the Miss America pagents, I would be asking almost every woman from every state on a date. That would be an achievement in my book, dating a woman from each & every state in the U.S.

Think about it....do you think the women would want a guy hitting on them all the time?

That's why the job needs to go to straight men only. The judges should also be straight men only. This also forces the men to recognize a woman's talents, rather than just their beauty. Plus men working with the pagent should act like total gentleman.

You'll never see me at a Mr. Universe contest judging men on their appearance. I've seen muscular dudes before & have wished I could have someone's physique. But I am not one to judge a man on how attractive or handsome he is. That job should reserved for the ladies only.

This was all a big hullaballoo because of her opinion on gay marriage.

The "indecent" photo ruse was......a ruse.

I saw the indecent photo and she was wearing more on her bottom than she did in the Miss USA pageant in the swimwear portion of the competition.

If they cared about indecent exposure, then they would not require these women to wear almost literally nothing and prance around in high heels. And if they cared about indecent exposure, then why did the Miss California corporation buy and pay for her breast implants just before the Miss USA and allow her to wear the bikini top that was so small that everyone could see that certain parts of our bodies don't "stay still" while we are walking.

The only women I know who wear micro-bikinis and high heel shoes as the Miss USU contestants did are women who are posing for men's magazines (and we know what those magazines are for) and women who are swinging around a pole in front of drunk men.

To claim that she was "investigated" for "indecent" photos is the most ridiculous pile of hooey that I have heard in a long time.
