    Hello! : )

Here in Orlando, Florida a very well known Hispanic Pastor named Tommy Moya was caught sleeping with a member of his Church Choir, who is also married to the base guitar player.

Her husband came home and found out through emails.

He has stepped down but Church members are requesting that he stays on as Pastor of his 2,000 plus member Church.

What do you think he should do?

Many say that because he is human, he can fail just like anyone else and he deserves another shot.

He should leave the pulpit. I just googled and the story of couse is in the local papers. By him staying - the general public will just have more fodder to degrade Christians.

If he is willing to repent he needs to step down for a time and submit to a restoration board of other pastors until the board says he is ready to be put back into the pulpit. Then it should be brought before the church and voted on by the church based on the boards recommendation. Restoration should always be the objective.

Rom 11:29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

I think he should step down for a season.

Like Ted Haggard and Jimmy Swaggart.

He is no longer a one woman man!
I am amazed, the only sin on this board that is unforgivable regarding ministry is divorce. If you can forgive an adulterating pastor and not a divorced man then you are a hypocrite.
Just so you know I could forgive both.

I can forgive him, but he needs to step down. I would say the same if a man was an usher.

PS, the woman involved should also step out of the choir.

Can he ever undo or make up for the damage he has done to his witness? How many will die without knowing Jesus because of what he did?

    Hebrews 10:26-29

26 For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
27 but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES.
28 Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
29 How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
