    Greetings,

I would like to know if there is such a thing as a discussion borad or Email fellowship list for what most would lable as "Baptist briders" or "Landmarkers"? This is NOT a troll thread. I am seeking information and research. I would greatly appreciate any tips where I can find this. Thanks

May I suggest you make contact with Bryan Station Baptist Church by emailing: [email protected].

    Their website is www. bryanstation.com

They are a landmark baptit church, have a monthly newsletter and can provide all the information you would like.

    Cheers,

    Jim

You're not going to get a lot more help on this subject, because the huge majority of Baptist Board members treat Landmarkism as near-heresy.

There are a handful of Landmarkers on the BB, but I'd be surprised if any of them are Baptist Briders.

"Landmark Southern Baptists is a website......"

Landmark and Southern Baptist don't exactly go well together. In fact, I thought they were incompatible.

One has to join the site in order to view it.

I am a broadly based landmarker, but not a brider. It doesn't trouble me that some prefer not to view all of history and stumble at a few links that appear to lose connection.

I believe the Lord when He said His church is built on a solid foundation and would remain to the end of time. Hence, somewhere, somehow, it must have continued from NT times to the present.

I am amazed that so many would believe that the Baptist Churches had their beginning with a man who baptized himself by pouring water over his head, and his followers and never founded a Baptist church in his lifetime.

    Cheers,

    Jim

To find out more, do a search on the Whitsitt controversy.

The LSB site is a yahoo group. Joining is free--and easy, just as any yahoo site is.

If you think Landmark and Southern Baptist are incompatible, think how incompatible being Methodist is.

I thank you for the input. I responded earlier on this but I do not see my post. I found a landmarker sight and might give them a try. Les

Welcome to the Baptist Board. :wavey:

Just out of curiosity, why did you wait for 21 mos. before making your first post, on any subject, after joining the Baptist Board all the way back in August, 2007??

No. Though many Landmarkers did leave the fold, a sizable number remained within the convention and have continued to hold to Landmark views to this day, though I would say certainly not as strongly as their non-SBC kin.
