    Why Pelosi Should Step Down
    by Newt Gingrich

    EXCERPT

The case against Nancy Pelosi remaining Speaker of the House is as simple as it is devastating:

The person who is No. 2 in line to be commander in chief can’t have contempt for the men and women who protect our nation. America can’t afford it.

To test how much damage Speaker Pelosi has done to the defense of our nation, ask yourself this: If you were a young man or woman just starting out today, would you put on a uniform or become an intelligence officer to defend America, knowing that tomorrow a politician like Nancy Pelosi could decide you were a criminal?

    Would you?

This Isn’t About Politics. It’s About National Security

Exactly what I would expect Newt Gingrich to say.

Hailing our failed interventionism as something to be proud of still. I agree that Nancy Pelosi should start looking for another job as a Wasington lobbiest or something as she's a disgrace as a public servant and all but trying to say she's a dire threat to a hundred year old failed policy is a bit too much.

Actually I suspect that Pelosi is as qualified to be president as either the narcissist "bho" or the motor mouth biden.

Her comment was about executives in the CIA. Not young men and women in uniform or anyone just starting out.

However, to play your game, it would be refreshing to have someone correct the moral conscience of this nation's leadership so I would not be asked to do something illegal or unethical.

Keep something in mind Carpro, now everyone who knew about this was in agreement with what was going on.

Pelosi would already be gone if she were a Republican.

I find this noise about Pelosi amusing. Where were you guys when Alberto Gonzales and Donald Rumsfeld were violating the Constitution, and those on the left were asking that they resign?

The Dems should sacrifice her. The GOP is making headway into the gains the Dems have made over the past three years. They don't need this as a bump in the road. Steny Hoyer or James Clyburn can do just as well if not better than Pelosi and get this story off the page. If they stick by her and hand the GOP a victory they weren't looking for in public opinion, they will only have themselves to blame.

She's a fish on the hook struggling to get off.

    She's history, and should be.

Did they call for a truth commission to penalize others for what they themselves were doing(not that I agree they did anything wrong). Pelosi is guilty on both parts.

As far as Gonzales now we have Holder doing the same thing.Where is his condemnation.

And quite frankly where is your honesty in this whole matter?

I was right here when Gonzales amd Rumsfeld were violating the constitution MP. If I remember correctly the republcan's excuse then was about the same as it is today. They were acting in "extra legal" ways and consolidating power to "keep us safe".

Same excuse tyrants have always used to usurp and consolidate power.

And now we see the democrats using the same excuse in the same way. More or less.

The state only ever wants three things. More power, more control and more money. If those on the left and those on the right keep giving the state these three things we'll all be slaves in our own country before too long.

The democrats and Obama adminstration aren't interested in protecting and defending the constitution anymore than the republicans and the Bush administration were. The dems gave it great lip service until they gained power and now we're seeing their true colors as all they want or care about is three things. More power, more control and more money.
