The State Personnel Board has dismissed an ethics complaint filed against Gov. Sarah Palin.

It was the 13th ethics complaint filed against the governor or her staff that has been resolved with no finding of a violation of the state ethics law, the governor's office said Wednesday.

"We're grateful that the personnel board and its investigators have taken a rational approach to these matters, finding that the vast majority of the complaints did not even warrant the collection of evidence because they failed to assert any violation of law," Bill McAllister, the governor's spokesman, said in a statement.

Andree McLeod asserted in her complaint that Palin violated the Executive Branch Ethics Act in furthering her national political aspirations.

But the board, following the recommendation of an independent counsel, threw out the complaint for lack of merit. The governor's office says McLeod made eight separate allegations in the complaint against Palin.

Here is an example of the supposed ethics violations:

"The Anchorage woman initially claimed Palin violated ethics law twice, first when her office issued a press release announcing that Republican presidential candidate John McCain had selected her to be his running mate last August. The second part of McLeod's complaint involved Palin's participation at a National Republican Congressional Committee dinner.

McLeod alleged that the governor used state staff and their time to publish the press release and that the state resources were used for partisan political purposes."

The issuance of a press release as use of state resources for partisan political purposes?

Perhaps the State of Alaska should send the complaintant Andree McLeod a bill for frivilous charges resulting in the squander of state resources.

The leftist media and the leftist democrat party are afraid of Governor Sarah Palin because she does not fit their mold of a successful woman. She is pro-life and Conservative, anathema to the leftists including some on this Forum.

Isn't this a board she appointed that keeps finding her innocent?

I believe this board showed their true colors when they found her innocent after her husband sat behind her desk and reprimanded the head of safety. They certainly proved they are loyal to the person who appointed them so they fact that they remain loyal really means nothing. They are probably all fairly good friends.

I am sure there would be a cry for impeachment proceedings if Michelle Obama ever sat behind his desk even if just for a photo op.

The board followed the recommendations of an independent counsel.

You like independent counsels - right?

So she wasn't dismissed from elected office on the charge that her husband sat in her chair - behnid her desk?

I can not believe the SERIOUSNESS of the allegations !!!!

    Really? They are friends?

I did not know this !!!

She must be fired IMMEDIATELY !!!

Yes - there are cries of this everyday.

I remember the months long impeachment of Bill Clinton when Hillary headed up that health care takeover debacle.

I remember how sad I was when Bill Clinton was removed from office because of Hillary bossing around the White House Staff and the Secret Service.

    Oh wait... that didn't happen?

Sorry LeBuick - I tried to help you out there. But obviously it is too much of a stretch from your imaginary realm to actual reality.
