Hagee of course denies Scripture [John 4:25,26; 11:25-27; Matthew 11:3ff; 16:16ff and others]. Perhaps Hagee's obsession with the so-called Rapture and the Jews has gotten to him.

At least the clip did not propagate one dispensational error: That Jesus Christ offered an earthly kingdom to the Jews.

It sounds to me like Haggee is using the old marketing ploy of putting out a bunch of very controversial sounding "sound bites", in order to stir up passions and get people to *$$$$* buy the book. I wouldnt be surprised if the book isnt as controversial as some of the sound bites make it seem.

Regarding the "rapture" Haggee is of course correct about that. I am a believer in the "rapture" of the church because it is so clearly taught in Gods scriptures.

    Maranatha! Come quickly Lord Jesus!

no surprises if you watch Hagee. He believes all Jews are saved.

I do agree that this book is just pandering and a way to generate $$$$

oh and...um...I feel ya dawg! ;)

Yep. The fighting begins where they start talking about PRE, MID, or POST.

Old Regular: I'm curious. If He didn't offer his countrymen an earthly kingdom, then what was he offering? I'm just asking.

Question to all: should I be concerned when some of the good ol' boys in my church tell me that they only
like one TV preacher and that one TV preacher would be John Hagee?

No, because He doesn't show his full doctrine on His television program. At first glance He could sound like He is preaching sound doctrine but it is only when you investigate that you find the problems with what he teaches and preaches.

    Allan,

    Oh. OK

Guess I'm not up on the current youth slang.

Does this mean that "groovy" and "far out" are not "cool" anymore?

Wouldnt concern me. I dont agree with everything he teaches, but thats not a big deal. He is entitled to his convictions, as long as he does not contradict foundational truths, and I have never heard of Haggee doing that.

Of course I'm not a regular viewer. Every once in a while I bump into him while flipping through the channels. He always seems OK to me.

I am not defending Hagee because I never watch him, but I recall this issue of Jesus not coming to be the Messiah came up previously on this forum or another one I'm on due to this statement in one of his books.

There was a clarifying statement (I believe made by Hagee) that he is saying Jesus did not come to be the Messiah the Jews were looking for (someone who would overturn the Roman rule, etc.). Hagee is probably saying it this way (on YouTube) for shock value.

For more on controversy surrounding Hagee, go to

If one pays a visit to the church he pastors and lives in the area you get a very different picture of who he is and his theology. What is in TV is only an excerpt of a worship service. He is pentecostal to the core.

There are many dishes outside of his church for the purpose of broadcasting. I cannot remember how much money is spent on broadcasting but there is money in it. Hagee is divorced and remarried.
