Retired Marine Lt. Col. Oliver North, host of Fox News’ “War Stories,” told CNSNews.com that he both underwent waterboarding and subjected others to waterboarding as part of Survival, Evasion, Rescue, Escape (SERE) training in the U.S. military.

North said he underwent waterboarding in his own SERE training, and then subjected others to waterboarding when he became a SERE school instructor.

North refutes President Obama’s argument that the waterboarding done by the Central Intelligence Agency in interrogating certain high-ranking al-Qaeda prisoners was torture, and applauds former Vice President Dick Cheney for defending the CIA’s use of the technique and its results.

Of course he does. I never understand why neocons think this criminal is a hero. Yes, I know his convictions were vacated, but he is no hero.

Please try to keep up. Do you believe North would say anything else?

So because you think he is a criminal you are convinced he would say nothing else?

Keep up with what? Your off topic opinion that you think that "neocons" think that Oliver North is a "hero"?

I wonder where they dug up North? Let's see, we have a military officer who has shown in the past that he doesn't mind breaking the law in order to follow through on his mission. I am not convinced that North is telling the truth about being water boarded. Maybe he would consent to this procedure again on camera to show us how this practice is not torture.

North did not need to be dug up.He is alive and well and very prominent. As far as your doubt well it is convenient but not reliable.

They're probably as accurate as your doubts.

It is amazing how someone who broke the law and manipulated illegal funds would be held in such high esteem by someone as law-abiding as yourself. It truly is ironic.

    I guessed I missed something.

What is the basis for your characterization of Revmitchell as holding Oliver North in high esteem?

I wasn't talking about Revmitchell personally, I was addressing him as a typical conservative. The conservatives I know personally all pretty much admire Colonial North. If I'm wrong, and Revmitchell doesn't share this view concerning Oliver North, then I apologize.

I am glad that you are willing to aplogize. Perhaps in the future you might try to choose words with a little more care.

Your exact words to Revmitchell were - "would be held in such high esteem by someone as law-abiding as yourself".

The average reader would most likely take this as you talking about him personally.
