Should our Government Audit the Federal Reserve?

My own opinion is we are accountable for paying taxes and the Federal Reserve which loans our Government money and charges unGodly interest has never been accountable and is in no way connected to our Government.

Ron Paul has been getting congress and senators to join him in getting this done. What a blessing it would be to see those behind the curtain robbing us through the tax system to give an account and be run out of America back to the pit.

Thanks for your vote and opinion.

    God bless.

    Steven.

What does anyone think an audit would show? That they pad expense accounts?

    I voted no.

I don't think it's a bad idea. I'd support it. But this crowd has shown that they couldn't care less about fiscal responsibility. The foxes are stationed at the hen house. Our Treasury Sec seems clueless. So who's going to do the auditing? CBO? GAO? Maybe.

Bernanke is pulling any lever he can find. A neoKeynesian policy track seems to be the order of the day that could drive up inflationary pressures. And he's growing in unpopularity on both sides of the aisle. It's a long time til Jan when he has to be re-upped. The only saving grace is that Geithner couldn't win Congressional confirmation to the post :)

So if I could be convinced a nonpartisan agency could do it, I'd vote yes. But in this WH? And if it's not going to be thus, why waste more taxpayer money?

I voted yes, but I would prefer that a group of non-government CPAs do the audit. I believe we would get a far better audit with more objective results and recommendations from such an audit. When the gov't investigates itself, we truly have a case of foxes guarding the hen house.

I killed your vote brother. The democrat Congress squats when "bo" says ..... So nothing would come of it. "bo" is all about power, power. Pilgrim2009 has made some accusations on this forum. Some of them may be suspect but I believe there is something dirty about "bo" and his backers and I have said so before.
