But it will produce tremendous amounts of money for the government. That's the real purpose of the global warming scam.

It's all about money. Always has been.

You have hit the proverbial nail on the head but did anyone with half a brain think otherwise. This is just one more nail in our coffin if it passes. That is what the Czarinchief wants!

I may be wrong, but in my opinion, Obama is the beginning of God's judgement on this nation for the horrific crimes committed by the US, specifically abortion, funding of abortion, trying to remove God from our life, acceptance of and encouragement of homosexuality, etc. I could go on, but this seems to summarize the sins against God this once great nation has committed. He brought destruction to Israel for the same type of crime. Do we think we are different?

I'm in total agreement, but I'm just waiting for the "0" supporters to counter-claim that he is "the answer to a prayer" for the salvation of our nation!

Hard to believe that some still believe him, but the kool-aid is strong drink. (Or maybe they are just reluctant to admit that they screwed up last Nov.!?)

You know what's strange, this was the GOP's platform in the last election. They were the ones pushing cap and trade...

I guess it's another one of those, "I was for it before I was against it"...

Palin is wrong. I would never support a conservative that advocates a program like cap and tax that weakens our economy . All based on phony science. Liberal greed for tax dollars I expect. I won't put up with it in any conservative.

She has some splainin' to do to get my support.

I don't know how my statement is so offensive and you're right, I don't know much at all about Cap and Trade; that's why I haven't commented on whether I agree with it or not. But, I was surprised to see Sarah Palin support what I have seen other conservatives oppose. I simply commented that this surprised me.

Whether or not you know anything about cap and tax is irrelevant. If you will go read your post it insinuates that conservatives follow Palin blindly. Conservatives follow no one blindly. But I have not seen anything showing she supported it.

She told Gwen Ifill she supported it. This is what I found surprising.

Palin never said she supported this bill, never. She said in a VP debate she supports emission caps. This is getting spun in liberalland, but it will fail.

Ifill: We do need to keep within our two minutes. But I just wanted to ask you, do you support capping carbon emissions?
    Palin: I do. I do.

BTW, it took about 30 seconds of research to debunk this nonsense.

You must have missed the last couple of meetings cuz Sarah is the new messiah and next hope for the GOP. Look how Bro Curtis felt he had to defend her honor.

Explain the difference between capping carbon emission and cap and trade?

I never said she supported the legislation congress passed, I showed that she was in favor of cap and trade during the election.

But like the bridge, she was for it before she was against it... That's how you make sure you cover both views.

Capping carbon emissions is easy, LeBuick----------you just shove a big ole cork onto your car's tail pipe and then get in --- crank it--- and drive away!!! Just as easily done as its said!!!!!

Cap and trade--------I did that in Elementary school-----goes like this--------I'll trade ya this bag full of marbles for that Willie Mays card you got!!!!

You explain it since you are making the accusation.

The difference between capping emissions Palin's way, and Cap & Trade is, when companies get in trouble Palin's way, the taxpayers get the reimbursements, in C & T, the money goes to G.E., A.I.G., & other Al Gore liberal political slush funds.

You will have to explain this to me, "when companies get in trouble the tax payers get the reimbursements".

"C & T the money goes to GE, AIG etc..."

Capping emissions is how we limit what we put into the air. The only way to limit those emissions is to tax or penalize those who excessively use or you are not capping emissions.

Before you answer, perhaps you should read her complete response. She did a great job of dancing around the cause of climate warming but she clearly says she supports reducing (capping) emissions.
