Has this been posted? I just came on BB and right in the middle of my screen(as part of the BB) is an ad with a nearly naked woman inviting people to her. WHAT!
Did something change over the weekend? This is still a "christian" site isn't it?(though this fact is questionable over the past year or so as titis).

I saw the ad and clicked on it. It is a game or something of that nature that has a title of "My Lord." It seems to be some kind of game about middle age kingdoms. I am sure it showed up here because of the name lord, associated with so many of our posts, of course, in a different context.

The woman is not half naked, just has a low neck line. It is not appropriate for this board, and no doubt the moderators will take care of the problem. It was not done intentionally, but probably some kind of cookie tracking software.

Your comment about this board not being a Christian site for the past year or so is without merit. The moderators police the board quite well.

Shes hanginmg out of her dress, thats nearly naked, you can see her, and nearly see all of her hanging out.
As for the board, lots of unchristians opinions being spouted here that are antiGod, antibible, hate for humans created by God in His image. Thats not christian, and once upon a time when this was a christian board this would not have been tolerated.

It is all in the eye of the beholder. I did not even notice the ad until you started a thread on it. When I come to this site, I am looking for different opinions about Scripture and the Christian faith in order to learn.

You really need to be more specific about the anti-God, anti-Bible, and hate for human posts you are talking about. I am sure if you report these posts, the moderators will edit or delete them. Then again, what your opinion is of anti-Bible, or anti-God does not make it so.

If people approve of nudity, have at it, but we can't all it a christian board if we allow it. And you can not tell me not one mod or admin hasn't sene it yet.

I think if you read the post above I said the ad was not appropriate for this board and the moderators will take care of it. I do not know if a moderator has seen it or not. You are the first that I know of to mention it, because I did not notice it until you said something.

I noticed the ad as well. While I agree with Saturneptune that the ad is most likely the result of "some kind of cookie tracking software" and not a choice on the part of the board's administration, I agree with you that it has zero place on this forum. We should be able to visit a Christian forum without being exposed to pornographic pictures. Hopefully the administration of the forums will work to get the add removed.

I started a similar thread in the tech forum yesterday. I installed ad blocker for firefox...glad I did. I'm surprised it's still on here, though. I sent the administrator a message Sunday about it.

As you may all know, these secular ads do pop up from time to time - but has nothing to do with the characteristics of the board. The Webmaster has a system of notification, by which we or any other posting member may alert him and he in turn deletes the ad. He is the only one who has the expertise of doing so, and we (the Moderators & Administrators) can do very little about these critters. We have already notified the Webmaster, and we have a special thread in the Moderators Forum which deals with questionable ads on the BB, and the Webmaster or his designee is checking that thread frequently. But since we all have our busy lives (and every moderator and administrator only volunteers his/her time to police this board), at times this process may take a little longer than anticipated. We covet your patience and prayers in this matter.

    In Christ,
Barnabas H. (Your friendly Administrator) :type:

I saw the ad. I was wondering if anyone was going to get bent out of shape. My wife has that same dress. My wife looks better in it, though. That's just the nature of having this board free. There's occaisionally going to be an ad we don't like. No one is going to liek every ad. We just need to learn that not liking doesn't equate to evil.
??? I'm curious where these are. I first came to this baord, well, probably around the time you did. The only thing that's different is that it's not as much of a "hyperfundamentalist only" club, that it used to be, although, it get close in some areas.

I'm curious to see who those "unchristians" and "antiGod" people are.

To throw out such a harsh accusation requires some kind of evidence. Otherwise you're just being dramatic.

I am happy to report that the ad in question has been blocked by the Webmaster - as it was reported to him.

As far as donnA's comments are concerned, I think she did not weigh her comments properly and let it leave it at that. We need only remember that with great responsibility we need great restraint. But regardless of sarcasm there are lives being saved on the BB and PTL I for one am a witness to that. :type:

I saw the ad but i knew it was just like any number of offensive ads in the past. Google does not have a brain. It some times does not post ads appropriate to the site.

Just report it and move on.

I appreciate the work the moderators/administrators do. I know how much time a job, family and church take, and think you guys and gals do a great job.
