Other because No wasn't listed. I never heard him sing. but his music style is not my cuppa! I did see the odd appearance on the telly before I turned it off.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I'm with Jim 1999. It's just not the sort of music that interests me. Give me my Bach ... Handel ... Mendelssohn ... on and on, but not pop.

I was in high school/college in the prime of his Thriller/Bad/Other things and enjoyed his music.

    Me too!

Although I would probably add Haydn, Beethoven & Mozart (Or were they part of your "on and on"?)

I enjoyed the Michael Jackson of the 80's, as opposed to his later stuff. I also enjoyed the young Elvis over the old fat one. I say this as I'm listening to the "Best of Motown" on my iPod, which I'm sure someone will call worldly  .

It's the 50th anniversary Motown collection. I got it a few weeks ago when I took a tour of the Motown Hitsville USA building in Detroit (was there on business). I'm patrial to the earliest era motown stuff, myself.

I liked listening to his music from the late 70's & through the 80's. I thought MJ was cool during his "Thriller" days. The kids at school used to always try to do the moon walk, but couldn't.

I didn't care for his stuff during the 90's on up. Most of it had to do with the fact that his image was tainted by the child molestation charges. Not to mention the baby dangling incident.

While it may be unclear as whether he in fact committed child molestation, God knows that. If he did, he'll have to answer to Him for it. Yes, he was proven innocent in a court of law, but not in the court of public opinion. I also don't know if the verdict given was an accurate one.

I think what caused him to make numerous changes to his physical appearance was the abuse that he took from his father. His dad would say things like, "You didn't get that nose from me." As a kid, when you hear stuff like that, it messes you up. While he was an extremely talented person, I also believe he was pshycologically damaged by his dad.
