As a citizen of the USA, what are your politically minded concerns?

What issues make you worry about your physical, financial, or other types of safety?

Do you feel safe in every area right now?

    If so, why?

    If no, why not?

(and how many are afraid that if you admit not feeling safe, others on here will be condemning and say that as a Christian, you're not supposed to worry, just walk around whistling grinning and waiting to be wafted away to glory?)

My main concern is that we have citizens the either one, do not care about the state of our government, or two if they do, actually believe there is a difference between the two parties that hold 100% of the power in this country. The two parties keep the myth of a difference between them at election time through the media to make the people think they have a choice. Most have no idea how far from the Consitution this country has gone, nor do they realize the thieves and thugs in Washington are stealing from them daily.

The biggest threat to financial saftey comes from a federal government that does not know how to balance a budget, does not know how to use any form of common sense when it comes to governing, and prints money out of thin air to cover up their mistakes. Families for years spent more than they earned, following the government lead, then when trouble comes, the government is the very one to lead them out of it. The bottom line is that the greatest fear of financial safety is a nation that does not live by Biblical principles when it comes to finances and money. We reap what we sow. Self indulgence and a lack of concern for our neighbor got us where we are today.

As far as physical safety, there is probably more danger today because in part because our eyes are focused inward on ourselves, our love for each other has grown cold, and we do things to each other that we never would have in the past. However, physcial safety is one thing for my family and myself is one thing I do have control over.

In a worldly mindset, of course not, because we are as a nation getting what we deserve from the Lord. As a Christian, very safe in every area, because God is in control, and my worry is His. Sometimes that is easier said than done.

The Lord has my life in His hands, and no where could I be safer.

In one sense, everyone should fear the wrath of God because of this nation's not only sinning before the Lord, but thumbing it in His nose. Fifty years ago, for example, yes, there were abortions and gay life styles, but we as a nation still disapproved and it was for the most part kept hidden. We went from that to bragging about it and now, to making it the official law of our land. How long is the Lord going to tolerate that? How long is the Lord going to tolerate a people and government that have an insatiable appetite for worldly things and forget the things of the Lord? Maybe instead of looking in the sky at some specific date with your suitcase on the advice of some nut case TV preacher, you better look up to get out of the way of the big thumb.

We all have enough faults we have no right to condemn. It is hard not to worry, but can be done through the power of the Lord. I think you are right. We have quite a collection of Pharisees on this board, and no doubt they will be have their ten foot nose in others business rather than correcting their own lives.
