Spector Gets a Dose of the Public Over Health Care Reform

What's sad is the absolute contempt that scumbags like Specter hold for real, hardworking Americans.

 

I saw this on FNC this morning and thought it was so righteous. :laugh:

Remember, Spector is the former "Republican" who switched. His true socialist ideology came out and I hope the other Pennsylvanians give him an ear full. These elitists who are the largest welfare recipients living off of our tax dollars need a dose of reality and their self-righteous bubbles burst. They forget who their employers are.....US!!! It's time to rise up, America!!

Too bad there's not a Cash for Clunkers program where we can turn in our defective elected officials and get a rebate.

I wouldn't say his voters are angry, these protest are from lobbyist. They have encouraged those who believe in less government or in stopping health care to disrupt these town halls. They also received instructions for how to be effective with tips like disrupt early, spread out so you seem like a larger group than you are etc...

It is sad to me because the public is not getting a chance to speak to their elected official in order to know with certainty of they support the legislation or not.

I don't pretend to know where this is going to go but I will say it can go both ways, it could scare people away from supporting health care reform or it could demonstrate to those who were falling for the fear mongering just who is saying this stuff so they can discard it as what it is, hyperbole.

What's sad is we call ourselves a civilized nation and try to bring our form of government to others...

Someone needs to protest and it's OK with me if it's organized. Most folks can't tell the difference.

Neither can the worthless pols, so they'll always discount it in some way, even when it's spontaneous.

Fact is their power is far more important than the will of the people and protests are matching the polls.

I believe if they keep cutting off the congressmen they might give them the sympathy vote. Look at some of the faces of the people that came to hear about the plans. You can tell some of them really feel bad for the disrespect being shown our elected officials.

Have you been watching the numbers drop? People are seriously nervous that the folks that screw up FEMA, and VA hospitals...the people that run Medicaid (which, by the way, doctors hate)...people don't want their healthcare run by the government.

BTW - my internet research shows polls indicating support in the 40%'s and that is only for some sort of change - certainly not a support for a public option.

 

Yes, LB, you have completely lost touch with reality. I'm no lobbyist and I'm pretty angry. In fact, I belong to AARP which is FOR Obamacare, if you want to talk about lobbyists....AARP which is a paid membership and supposed to be looking out for Seniors. I was in on the town hall telephone call where we were encouraged to call our Congressional office and say we were in support of Obamacare, so I did, but I told them that I was a member of AARP and even though AARP wants me to tell you I support a government health care plan, I DON'T. I was also in on our Senator's telephone conference and people were pretty angry there, too. These aren't lobbyists who are outraged, they are ordinary folks who understand what is coming down the pike, rationed healthcare for seniors, destruction of 1/6 of the American economy, forced abortions and forced depopulation, long waits, rationing of prescriptions and medical treatments, overburdened hospitals and a shortage of doctors and nurses, and a whole host of issues, besides bureaucratic paperwork and forms and quotas, etc. - ANYTHING the government tries to run results in fraud, waste, and unnecessary blunders and mismanagement. All headed up by an empty suit who thinks pediatricians yank out tonsils. Yep, he's a real peach...maligning the physicians in this country, accusing them of practicing medicine based on how much money they will make. Yep, he's a real winner, your guy, get real.

Talk about lobbyists - yep, Move On dot org is behind Obamacare and so are all the other left-wing outlets pushing hard for this one.
