Of course, this isn't surprising. Lee has always had difficulty with common courtesy...particularly toward Caucasians.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-L3FnWNkIzU

During a town hall meeting...as a protestor is expressing her views (Not yelling or being impolite...I'm sure that accusation will get thrown out there), Lee simply gets on her cell phone and takes a call.

Afterwards, the contempt on her face for this citizen is obvious.

What a disgusting excuse for a public servant.

But with the district gerrymandered as it is...ten bucks says she's re-elected. Even after this kind of stuff.

Lee's other "claims to fame"--from Michelle Malkin (yep, I know, a conservative...but the events are factual, and you can find them on another source, if you'd like...)

    • Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee just pimped the stupidest House resolution ever on stage at the Jacko memorial at Staples Center. She held up a big, framed copy of it as the crowd cheered. That was after she extolled “The King,” painted him as the world’s greatest humanitarian, and demagogued the child molestation cases by proclaiming that members of Congress “understand the Constitution” and “we understand laws” and we know that “people are INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE!”
    • Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee blamed the botched Hurricane Katrina response on “minority votes being suppressed.”

Sheila Jackson Lee is a Sharptonite: If a white person is found not guilty of a crime against a black person, it's racism; if a black man is found not guilty of a crime against a white person, it's a case of being innocent until proven guilty. See her comments regarding OJ Simpson and Michael Jackson.
Yes they do, but not in a row

I just wish there was a virus specially made for teleprompters (like with computer viruses). It would be awesome if every teleprompter in the country didn't work properly. It would make Obama's job of public speaking extremely hard to say the least.

Yep. It was actually a university student pretending to be a doctor. I don't care if it favors democrat or republical politics, either way, that qualifies as fraud.

I don't know why people are shocked by Sheila Jackson-Lee's rude behavior. It is sort of a symbol of what is wrong with our government today. It is no longer a "government of the people, by the people, for the people" (President Lincoln). It is now a government "of the rich and powerful, by the rich and powerful, and for the rich and powerful". And who are the rich and powerful? The Senators, Congressmen, the czars, the President, and other such people. They don't listen to the people anymore. Now they use manipulation and spin to get the people to support their corrupt policies. After all, who in their right mind would ever think the Federal Government would do a better job with health insurance than private industry. Private insurance companies may not be perfect, but they are not near as bad as the feds will be. Even President Obama admitted that the U.S. government can't even run the Post Office correctly (LINK). However people are being manipulated by the government and media to think federal insurance will be better than private. It is a sad, sad day in America and we have only ourselves to blame. :tear:

Here is another Representative not respecting their constituents. I'm not making excuses for either but it appears our only way of dealing with this is at the polls.

Look, I realize it makes you physically ill to admit that I've made a good point...but instead of derailing this thread with off-topic posts, why not refrain from posting on this issue, rather than posting off-topic things?

This isn't about the evil awful terrible Republicans. This is about Sheila Jackson-Lee...a rude, bigoted, out of touch politician.

    Try and stay on topic.

I guess it makes you touchy to be shown that she is not the only rude politician we have. Should we just pretend in this thread that she is on an island by herself? Or that when we point a finger at others we have 3 pointing back at us?

Have you never met a liberal moon bat that you didn't like or defend?

Yes, right now I don't care too much for the blue dogs.

I sure don't defend Conrad and his co-ops.

Edited to add.. I am not defending her rudeness, just saying she is not alone in that crowd and we ought to detest all rudeness from our elected officials and not just the ones from the other party.

I know, I know...somewhere, there's a rude republican, and that helps Lee's actions not look so bad...

I used to live there. She has always been a source of great entertainment........if it wasn't for the problems she causes.

Sure...as a comedy act, I'd love to keep her around.

It's just that her, and folks like her, have access to my life, liberty, and property...and they are not cognizant of the great sacred trust that entails...
