Well, we've had grade B entertainers before. Reagan ...

But I am sorry that the young man will fail to achieve his goal, because I have a granddaughter who will be 39 in that year and who will be elected. I plan to stick around to campaign for her, as I will be "only" 102.

Wonder if she will be the first female president? I know she will not be the first mixed-race president.

Good for Nick Jonas! Let the kids have his dream without discouragement. There's plenty of time for discouragement when he gets to adulthood.

    I so totally agree!

Just think of all of the OTHER things that he could be involved in at 16 ......

There are plenty of 16 year olds who wouldn't know a dream or a goal or a positive vision of their future if it came blasting through their ipod or whatever you call those things.

Sure, the odds are he won't be president in 2040 or any other year, but, hey....

....let him dream. And let him dream big.

My nephew is seriously contemplating a run in 2040!.. On the Republican ticket.. (His step family is well known in the Rep. party here in WV)... and he is a very bright young man. I wouldn't be surprised... Let's see.. I'll be around 70 by that time... and a very proud uncle.

I've heard of thinking about the future, but that is ridiculous. I could understand thinking of running for president in 2012 or 2016, but not 2040. One would have to wait for the right time to run, which usually would be after a president has served two terms.
