Sinless perfection

I have sinless perfection.















He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and ever lives to plead for me. As long as His blood pleads for me, I am safe.

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea,
A great High Priest Whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.

My name is graven on His hands.
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in Heav'n He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there,
Who made an end to all my sin.

Because the sinless Savior died,
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God the Just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there, the Risen Lamb,
My perfect, spotless righteousness,
The great, unchangeable I Am,
The King of Glory and of Grace.

One with Himself, I cannot die.
My soul is purchased with His blood.
My life is hid with Christ on High,
With Christ my Savior, and my God.

True with respect to the penalty of sin being paid and set to your account, but the question remains - Do you have a sinless walk? Are you living righteously before a Holy and Righteous God?

Does not John remind believers - If anyone says they have no sin, they are a liar and the truth of God is not in them.

 

I have dealt with 2 individuals, both men, who claimed "sinless perfection".

It is easy to show them from the Scripture that it's pretty much a losing battle.
Like - have you ever gone 26 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone?

2 Peter 2

13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

Pray without ceasing.

Or what would your wife say about your sinless state?

People are very creative at excuse making (I know by experience).

That does not mean that we should not make true biblical holiness and spritual maturity our goal.

Paul lamented that every time he learns of a new law, there rises up within him the desire to break it.

So it is with the speed limit for me. The minute I see the 70-mph speed limit on the interstate, there is an irresistible urge to kick it up to 75. Of course, my excuse is that I have to drive that fast to keep from getting run over by those heathen who are doing 80.

If your question is, am I without sin? then the answer is no, and I never asserted such.

My sinless perfection is a Person, and that's the point. No it doesn't negate the Moral Law, nor the responsibility to walk as Christ walk. My post was intended to point those who (rightly) feel the guilt of their sin to God's Remedy for sin, and to reinforce the fact that the Christian's ONLY righteousness and acceptance is Christ, and Christ alone.
