So who is going to boycott Ben and Jerry's?

    Hubby Hubby Ice Cream

This is NOT a human sexuality topic - it is a boycott topic.

    I can't afford it anyway :)

 My first thought exactly, I can't afford it. I never buy ice cream at ice cream shops. I simply will not pay a buck fifty for a dip of ice cream in a cone. So, in a manner of speaking, I have been boycotting ice cream shops for a long time now.

You know, they did a study...and nine out of ten male figure skaters preferred "hubby hubby" to all other flavors after perorming their routines.

That was NOT a human sexuality topic either--it was a sports topic.

    :D

    (and no, I don't eat B & J ice cream. Ever.)

It seems unwise to tie your business to political causes of any kind, but they are free to do so. My take? It will just give them more publicity and more sales.

Will I boycott? No need. I only eat at Ben & Jerry's about two or three times a year. Too expensive.

If I chose to boycott "Hubby Hubby", I'd be a hypocrite, because I loved the previous name, "Chubby Hubby", even though we all know they should have renamed it "Gravitationally Challenged Male Spouse".

I occasionally buy their ice cream - did so just this past weekend at Wal-Mart in the freezer section. I love the American Cone flavor.

I've had it before - many years ago but haven't in atleast 20 years. I have no desire to patronize their business since pretty much everything they support is against the Word of God.

I can't think of any brand of ice cream I don't like...and my waist line pays the price at times for that.

Of course, Ben and Jerry's is not longer owned by Ben and Jerry. When it was owned by these two fellows they had a corporate policy that no one could be paid more than 7 times more than the lowest paid employee. I thought this a good policy.

I have no idea of the policies of the current owners, Unilever, corporate policies are or how they treat their employees. I expect about the same as any large corporation.

I usually don't make my shopping or dining decisions based on what a company might support. As long as they make a good product, and do so competitively, then I'm likely to patronize that business.

The last time I boycotted anything, it wasn't really a boycott. Several years ago, Carl's Jr ran an ad that I found to be grossly inappropriate. I simply chose not to patronize them until they stopped running the ad. When the ad ceased, I went back. I didn't make any fuss or drama over it, neither did I wear my decision on my sleeve for all to see.

I've never purchased that brand of ice cream. The generic, inexpensive brand at the grocery is expensive enough!

If I want to buy expensive ice cream, I'll buy Haggen Dazs.

Usually, I'll buy Breyers or the Wal-Mart brand equivalent. I seem to get more for my money that way.

Why eat B&J's ice cream when I live in Texas and there's Blue Bell?

Ice cream is the devil's snack food. It's worse for your body than beer is.

I have two of my very own boycotts going.

    1. I haven't watched a Jane Fonda movie for 40 years, nor will I.

    2. After having owned several General Motors products, I will not purchase , nor even consider for purchase, any vehicle built by what is now Government Motors.

This isn't a movement. They are just deeply held personal decisions. I don't care if anyone else at all participates.
