WASHINGTON — Al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden described President Barack Obama as "powerless" to stop the war in Afghanistan, and Americans' inability to grasp why the Sept. 11 attacks occurred has "cost you a lot without any result whatsoever."

The remarks by the terrorist leader were released two days after the eighth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that he ordered. Bin Laden typically addresses the American people in a message timed around the Sept. 11 anniversary.

In terms of bloodshed, it cost them a lot more than us with the result that they didn't succeed again here in the States (during the GWB administration) though they tired.

Nor so far in the Obama Administration. But if you count on any Presidency to prevent every possible attack, your faith is severely misplaced.

So you don't count on Obama keeping the U.S. safe from terrorists attacks for the next 3 1/2 years?

    I don't either.

If we yanked that headcover off, what would we find there? Perhaps a grenade he had surgically melded to his scalp with the pin secured to the material and an "allah is great!" tattoo?

Reduce the size...it is over the BB limit. It is also pointless and off topic.

I don't count on anyone. No person is capable of stopping every nut with a bomb. We can stop 1000, but if #1001 gets by, BOOM! I am certain that I myself could create massive harm if I were a crazy person. So could you. Life carries risks.

Hey, you guys ripped Bush every chance you got. If you can't stand the heat, then you should stay out of the kitchen.

Guys I oppose Obama vehemently but this is not helpful. It trivializes his evil.

Has nothing to do with standing the heat. It is just off topic and adds nothing. However it also has everything to do with the fact that not everyone has broadband and can't load large images quickly. It brings the page load to a crawl.

Agreed, but sometimes a little humor is helpful. I don't hate Obama, I pray for him (I really do).

I really don't worry about Osama Bin Laden. He is just one of many thousands of religious Muslim zealots that hate our country and everything it stands for. If we killed bin Laden, someone else will just take his place.

Trust me, if we did get bin Laden, our problems in the Middle East would not be over. It is actually a distraction to focus on one man alone.

Why do we care about bin Laden? Bush said he didn't care about capturing him or killing him any more. Besides, we don't have enough evidence against him to charge him with anything related to 9/11. From the FBI web site.

    http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/terrorists/terbinladen.htm

Usama Bin Laden is wanted in connection with the August 7, 1998, bombings of the United States Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya. These attacks killed over 200 people. In addition, Bin Laden is a suspect in other terrorist attacks throughout the world.

Obviously you did not read my post just before yours. I said I don't worry about bin Laden.

Just like clock work. We can always count on ole Usama Bin Lazarus to pop up out of the grave just when support for our multination building experiments is lagging and the president's numbers are tanking.

    http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=61401&page=2

Usama, the military industrial complex's favorite CIA boogeyman became way to predictable under Bush.

Usama says, "help your prez! Give him more money, more power, and more control so General Electric and SAIC can keep rolling in your money or I'll raise myself up out of my cold dark grave and get you all." BOO!

The phonier it gets the funnier it gets.

Usama Bin Lazarus, the pentagon's trained ghost on a leash. :applause:

No need to worry about Usama. Long dead CIA assets can't harm you.

Was he responsible for 9/11? If so, why do you think so?

So are you predicting that Obama will fail to protect us from a terrorist (oops, I mean Global Struggle Against Violent Extremism) attack?

Cuz Bush and Blair said he was. And besides one of the phoney Usama Bin Lazarus' even admitted to it on video. I seen it with my own two eyes!

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/national/dotmil/arkin020199.htm

Most Americans were introduced to the tricks of the digital age in the movie Forrest Gump, when the character played by Tom Hanks appeared to shake hands with President Kennedy.

For Hollywood, it is special effects. For covert operators in the U.S. military and intelligence agencies, it is a weapon of the future.
"Once you can take any kind of information and reduce it into ones and zeros, you can do some pretty interesting things," says Daniel T. Kuehl, chairman of the Information Operations department of the National Defense University in Washington, the military's school for information warfare.

PSYOPS seeks to exploit human vulnerabilities in enemy governments, militaries and populations.

Digital morphing — voice, video, and photo — has come of age, available for use in psychological operations. PSYOPS, as the military calls it, seek to exploit human vulnerabilities in enemy governments, militaries and populations to pursue national and battlefield objectives.

To some, PSYOPS is a backwater military discipline of leaflet dropping and radio propaganda. To a growing group of information war technologists, it is the nexus of fantasy and reality. Being able to manufacture convincing audio or video, they say, might be the difference in a successful military operation or coup.
