Well, I woke up this morning and the good news is that my dog really has the word of God in him.

The bad news is, it's because he ate my Bible last night.

We have a six month old, 55 lb collie/golden retriever puppy who's just now going through that "Hey, this looks like it might taste good!" stage.

We got back from witnessing at the NASCAR races in Dover yesterday and I know I put my Bible up where he couldn't get it, but he got it.

I guess the good news is that it's my "working" Bible, and not the good one with all of my notes in it.

Doh!!! This happenned to a friend of mine.

He uses a Bible iPhone app, and his dog ate his iPhone. So his dog is filled not only with the Word, but also a few rounds of beer pong!!!

What kind of obedience classes did you take him to?!?

So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, "Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey."

Sounds like he's hungry for the word of God. If only we Christians had such an appetite for the word!

And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. Revelation 10:10

From the looks of it, when your dog matures, he'll be torn between eating it up or turning away from it.

    'My dog ate my homework.'

    You ever use that one?

    Shouldn't have.

About three years ago I left home on a Sunday morning to go to church (15 miles down the road) with my favorite everyday Bible, that contained tons (years) of notes & references, on top the car. Upon arrival at church and realizing what I had done, I left the family there and immediately backtracked (twice) with no luck finding it.

To this day I still regret the loss of that particular book.
