Obama and the Graveyard of Empires

Posted By Frank Creel On October 2, 2009

You read it here first: There is a 50-50 chance that President Obama will not get his party’s nomination in 2012, much less be re-elected, so grave have been his policy errors. Presidents rarely escape the consequences of serious misjudgments.

    ...

Yep, a 50-50 chance Obama will be a lame duck after the 2010 mid-terms sounds about right. But make that a 90-10 chance if Obama, on top of all that, gets Afghanistan wrong and, like Lyndon Johnson, steps into a quagmire.

He has already gotten Afghanistan wrong. The only reason he spoke to his commander on the ground twice this week is because he was feeling the heat of his false campaign promise and the interview his commander gave where he said he had not spoken to Obama but once since he took over command. That, of course, made Obama look out of touch and not engaged.

He and his wife takes separate planes to Copenhagen to pitch for the Olympics ,which is unprecedented and unnecessarily costly, and then was knocked out to the running first thing. It seems his presence was not as inspiring as the Narcissist in Chief thought. People around the world are not the sheeple we have in the states.

Unemployment is at an all time high after he promised the "stimulus" would stop it form rising higher than 8%.

The country does not like his stance on abortion.

He continues to spend like a depressed drunk housewife claiming it is to prop up the economy but 90% of what is being spent will never be implemented for years to come. Such is never a stimulus. Good thing it is that far out it can be stopped.

He cannot get his health care passed largely because of all the spending he has already done but also because not all dems are really on board with his radicalism. Even Racheal Maddow was dogging him.

You know it is sad the first black President is such a failure. But it is not likely he has it in him to do any better. Being a community organizer is not like being President.

I think that all of our presidents have been failures overall since Grover Cleveland left office.

I think Harry Truman did a good job.

I think ramping up the war in Afghanistan would be a mistake. That was Johnson's mistake in Viet Nam. Bush lost the Afghanistan war by pulling a large number of troops out to send them to Iraq. We probably could have won if the proper attention had been paid to going after the terrorists rather than the oil. But going after the terrorists was never Bush's objective. He wanted to invade and occupy Iraq.

That author is wrong, Obama will get the nomination in 2012. His supporters are absolutely infatuated with him. Like an abusive relationship, he can do whatever he wants, no matter how harmful it is. His lovers will simply blame someone else, he can do no wrong.

These people suffer from a severe psychosis known as Obamalism, here is a video showing this disorder.

Actually it is not. He is losing support and while there are die hard fans he will not have enough.

I agree with you. For the most part the news media is still in love with him. Also if one disagrees with him they are called a racist, he can do no wrong in a lot of folks minds.

Doesn't matter who runs or gets elected. The rich will continue to get richer and the middle class will shrink back to where it is supposed to be . . . maybe 15% of the working class.
