Rule violations

    Anyone see one of these in the above post?

    Not bleeding from another forum and not wishing to discuss the topic in which it refers, but is this normal here?

    I don't wish to discuss BB rules, but I am asking if anyone else sees this as becoming normal to leave a "right in your face" rule violation and it remain?

    Well, let's see, if you intentionally and regularly engage in hypocrisy, is it a violation for a poster to call that person a hypocrite? That's for the moderators to decide, and I leave it to their good graces to make that decision.

    There's a neat little button to report a post to the moderators. If you don't like a post, report it. The moderators will discuss whether or not it breaks the rules and will decide how to proceed. But know that we won't always agree with what they say.

    Yep, all Harold has to do is hit the "report post" button. It was my post that Harold Garvey was complaining about. Unknown to Harold, I decided to report my own post, in the interest of fairness, and asked for a moderator to review it. The post remains.

    If you report a post, does the moderator reply you if he does or doesn't moderate ?

    Usually mods don't reply. They usually don't need to. On occasion I have asked for a reply from certain mods, but no reponse ever came.

    My cousin is a moderator on another site. Being a moderator is hard enough without adding a requisite to send a reply to every request. A mod will, though, edit a post if a user requests. I've done this before. But I don't expect them to notify me if they choose to do so, or why why chose not to.
