I want to preface this by saying that I don't question his salvation. Neither do I wish to comment about his Word of Faith doctrine (which is, imo, unscriptural).

In regards to his practices, he's a charlatain. He uses quasi hyposis techniques during his worship services, which is outright dishonest. In regards to his finances, he lives a personal life of lavishness (not just doing well from an honestly earned living, but a clear example of fleecing). His ministry has been the subject of scrutiny for some time, and evidence of improper financial management is not too difficult to find.

I always loathed watching him touch people and they fall down on stage flipping around like fish out of water.

I've always wanted to go to one of his "services."

    My plan:
    • Manage to get in the "healing line." Benny don't do broken bones...just backaches and internal organs. So, I'd come up with something in the realm of "serious-sounding, but unprovable."
    • Then, I'd get on stage. Benny would whop me in the forehead and do that, "In the name of JEEEE-sus!" thing. He might even wave his coat at me! (I just love it when he waves his coat...) :D
    • But then...(and here's where it gets fun), I wouldn't go down. Nope, I'd pull my Bob Seger Chevy Truck impression and just go like a rock on him.
    • I'd let him force me off the stage, with a barrage of, "In the name of JEEEE-sus, JEEEE-sus, JEEE-JEEE-JEEE-JEEE-JEEE-sus!" I wouldn't go down, but I would get beaten off the stage.
    • Then (key action #2), I'd get back in line. Upon arriving up front, Benny would say, "I thought you'd already been up here." I would reply, "I was. But now I have a headache."
Personality disorder? What personality disorder? :D

    Some thoughts...

    1. You would think a "man of God" (sarcasm) like Benny would trust in God. I mean...if he can knock someone down by flinging his coat at 'em...wouldn't that work on an attacker?

    2. Were the bodyguards there to protect Benny, or just his hair? (and who guards his hair at night when he takes it off?)

    3. And let's just say that the worst happened, and three men walked up to him, pulled guns, and emptied their clips at Benny. Can't he just hold up his hand and make the bullets......wait. Never mind...that was Keanu Reeves in the Matrix. My bad. :D :D

Yeah, why would you possibly question the salvation of a guy who believes Jesus was a sinner who had to go to Hell to purchase His own salvation before He could purchase ours, believes there are nine persons in the Trinity, and believes that he is a god, even going so far as to tell his followers to call him "Benny Jehovah"?

Yea I don't question it either. Based on scripture I just flat out deny it.

    I'm with you.

Get ready to hear 1 Samuel 16:7 taken out of context a dozen different ways.

A charlatan with numerous false teachings:

    http://www.biblefacts.org/cult/clips.html

Among them: Regarding the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost "there are nine of them." He also said that Adam was superman and could fly to the moon.:rolleyes::p

    I watched a Dateline/20/20/60Minutes/or something-or-other once about his meetings.

What struck me most was that he only comes on stage when the song "How Great Thou Art" starts to play.

There's a lot more I could say, but it has already been said in this thread, so I'll save myself the typing.

I've heard from several sources that know about Hinn that you cannot just get in the "healing line." You have to be picked. This is part of the con.

The truly sick people are not able to get in that line.
