Who’s behind the White House war on Fox News?

    White House interim communications director Anita Dunn assumed the role of lead Fox News Channel-basher this weekend. The attack was a dud. The left-leaning Nation magazine ridiculed President Obama’s press shop for turning him into the “whiner-in-chief.” AOL media columnist Jeff Bercovici called the war on Fox a “loser’s strategy” that “signals weakness.” And that’s the friendly fire.

    Dunn found refuge in rival CNN’s green zone, where she blasted Fox News as a “research arm of the Republican Party.” Unhappy with headline-generating Fox News hosts who have wrested control of the news cycle from Team Obama, Dunn complained about “opinion journalism masquerading as news.”

    Well, that is certainly an apt description of an Obama-sympathizing “news” segment on Wolf Blizter’s CNN Politics show, which purported to “fact check” a Saturday Night Live skit mocking the president’s lack of accomplishments. Yes, the “real” news fact-checked the fake news to cover for Obama’s deficiencies. Zero complaints from the White House communications office about that. Or about authentic CNN journalist Anderson Cooper using his prime-time show to make vulgar sexual jokes about Tea Party activists. Or about the joint White House-ABC News health care reform infomercial that aired earlier this summer.

    Someone in the WH is not smart. Bush didn't go after MSNBC or America Left. This is just stupid. Not to mention a waste of time. Instead of shepherding health care reform, solving our military woes in Iraq or Afghanistan, Obama and his minions are out attacking tv and radio folks.

    Way to keep your eye on the ball, guys. That's what you were elected to do. :rolleyes:

    Obama simply doesn't want anyone to disagree with him. But that was obvious even before he got elected. Most of the media was against Bush but that didn't bother Bush in the least...in fact, Bush said that's what made our country great. But Obama is a narcissist wholse whole goal is to be popular. That's one of the things that makes him dangerous...it's also one of the qualities of the final anti-Christ.

    Do you have a reference which discusses how the White House is attacking Fox News? This says nothing about exactly what they've done.

    Can you describe what has been done to CBS, NBC, ABC?

    Edward Murrow is turning over in his grave, if he hadn't been cremated. (Or was he?) Inquiring minds want to know.
    Gee....guess only what the traditional news outlets tell us is true.
    On the other hand, Mrs. Al A. Tide , here in the 21st century, we do not take everything we hear from various media groups to heart.
    But given this chance, please tell us what the news outlets were like in the '30's.

    You'll probably claim the sources aren't valid, or they are lies, or better yet...you'll simply keep repeating your above post.

    It's almost humorous...alatide will make some stupid claim...someone will post proof or a refutation of that stupid claim...and alatide will keep making the claim...as if the answer was never posted.

    Doesn't make him look too bright, you know.
