    Hello all my friends,

In the event science proves that the Parallel Universe exists, there is a possibility there are many of "me".

I am a Christian here. However, are the others of "me" saved too?

Or would I need to find a wormhole or way to witness to my other "selves"?

Science has yet to prove itself let alone some hypothetical supposition of finiteness.

If we suppose ourselves into a situation, we best suppose ourselves out of it. There is just no answer.

    Cheers,

    Jim

If the parallel "me"s in the parallel universe are not saved while I am saved, then are they really parallel?

How could you prove a parrelel universe? What evidence is there for a parallel universe? Why was the parallel universe theory invented?

    Thanks.

(asking this because I remember reading about the multi-verse theory in the past, and remember thinking that it was a theory developed to get rid of the anthropic principle--ie to hold on to a naturalistic view of the universe, kind of like the 'point of singularity' in the big bang cosmological theory)

I think you've been watching too much Star Trek. If parallel universes exist, it's of no consequence, because you're in this one. As a believer, I don't give spiritual consideration to hypotheticals. Sure, it makes for great secular conversation with friends, but spiritually, it's of no consequence whatsoever.

    Hello,

I'm sorry. A poor attempt at humour. I was thinking about it last night and the whole theory seems funny to me.

There is nothing wrong with thinking and theorizing about hypotheticals. It develops the mind. In some cases, the imagination suggests a possibility that later becomes a reality. The reality would not have been developed or conceived without the imagination conceiving of it first.

There's no Easter Bunny, but Santa Claus is real, and I have scriptural evidence to support it:

"Ho ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north" - Zechariah 2:6

I remember once in college I had a friend who was discussing salvation with the Professor and some how some one else came up with " If we find there is alien life would they need to be saved." The professor humorously said probably not this salvation is only for humanity. Then My friend raised his hand and said "what about Mr. Spock? He's 1/2 alien and 1/2 human?" Thats where the class stopped. However I thought it was funny.

As far a parallel universes I see it in context with string theory which can't be proven. However if it were true then I would see the Parallel universes like a layer of paint on a canvass masterpiece art work. The Parallel would not be complete rendering of our understanding of the universe but an underlying template of sorts which give the knowable universe its form. Or an under layer in the painting. That's just a thought.

Once, on Star Trek, Kirk was being transported and he got crossed up with his alter-ego from a parallel universe. The alter-ego's universe was a very ruthless place and the "other" Cpt Kirk was very cruel. So, I guess a parellel universe might have a swaimj who is not saved. Similar yet different.

The episode also demonstrated that, no matter what universe he's in, William Shatner can't act.

I'm confused. You're saying this one is the Parallel Universe? :tongue3:

I like that one, but I like this story about parallel universes in season 7 of The Next Generation better.
