Some of you uphold to sound doctrine, despite the culture and men who want their ears tickled. I applaud you.

However, many are this board are so liberal, it is disgusting.

    But this broke me, http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=62362&page=2

Thanks for the help, gents. I may or may not be back again - but don't count on it.

I question your definition of liberal, but, uh, okay.

I've known a few folks who chose to leave because it was too hyperconservative, but because it was too liberal, that's a new one.

Adios. There are very few liberals on this board. Best wishes in your search for a forum that will tolerate your use of the word heretic. Watch the door.

If that's all it takes to drive a Christian away from other Christians, it's going to be horrible when REAL trials hit.

For example, what will you do when the true torment begins...like if your church starts buying communion wafers from Sam's Club or some other liberal organization?

We are to be preparing ourselves for such an turning away, not running from it. :(

Be warned. The day is coming when no man can buy or sell without money that has numbers on it.

Methinks you take yourself much too seriously Brother. What's wrong with agreeing to disagree with someone? IMO, leaving the BB is to your detriment. You should reconsider.

I assume that anything contrary to your opinions are liberal. I despise Liberalism and Modernism but I am a rational conservative Fundamentalist Baptist who knows exactly what he is opposing before shooting off his mouth. Friend, you are using buzz-words for their sound effect, not their meaning. Settle down and show some wisdom.

I think I can count on one hand the Baptist Boarders who are moderate, moderate-liberal or just plain liberal. All of them irritate the fool out of me, mainly because they are articulate, well-grounded in what they believe and engage in lively debate. They make me work too hard.

The purpose of the debate forums is to debate, which starts with the presumption that there are differing opinions. Shoot, the liveliest discussions we have are rarely conservative vs liberal. They are conservative vs. conservative.

Are those who disagree with me wrong. Of course. But heretics? No.

Now, I have seen occasions when a young believer may come on here and espouse a view which he doesn't realize is heretical. They have bought into some teaching which sounds good, but can't be supported by Scripture. Some gentle correction is in order.

I contribute to another Baptist discussion forum which is avowedly moderate-liberal to liberal, and a third which is unabashedly ultra-liberal.
On occasion I will get involved in a discussion on those boards, but I'm not going to take my toys and go home because they off base and won't listen to me. Shoot, I have too much fun making them uncomfortable. In a gentle, Christian manner, of course.
