I guess she's introducing the government plan to take over 1/6th of our economy.

I simply love what Neal Boortz said about this freedom-hating, disgusting woman:

    http://apnews.myway.com/article/20091028/D9BKBEKO1.html

In this bill... (Summary is Boortz's):

    • Employers would be required to offer health insurance to workers
    • Employers will pay fines for not offering health insurance
    • Americans will be fined for not purchasing insurance coverage (no word yet on enforcement)
    • Subsidies will be provided to poor people who can't afford health insurance
    • Insurance companies will not be able to discriminate against older people or pre-existing conditions
    • A government option will be available to "compete" with the private sector.
This is the most dangerous legislation I've seen in a long time.

Forcing people to buy insurance will never happen neither will the public option.

I will agree that it won't happen under the rules as they are.

But we have seen...these guys don't always play by the rules.

I think it's 50/50 that we have full-blown government healthcare in a year.

The American people would never put up with it. States would reject it and refuse to go by it. any attempt to enforce it could lead to an actual civil war.

    I hope you're right....on the rejection/refusal of it.

God help us if it got worse than that.

I just continue to be amazed at delusional socialists such as Botox Pelosi, Harry "Never met a lie I didn't like" Reid, and Slobbering Barney Frank...they actually think most of America agrees with them.

    Idiots.

The House Democrat leadership comes from safe seats. They apparently don't understand that there are other Democrats who have to compete hard to win their seats each election. Therefore, the House leadership makes proposals that some of their members can't vote for without putting their seats at great peril come re-election time.

Guess what? This monstrous, socialistic pile of dogsqueeze is nearly TWO THOUSAND PAGES.

    And remember this quote?

Well, that was a lie. The capitol's west side (normally open to the public) was closed down for the "unveiling ceremony." Only Pelosi's behind-kissers (Hill staffers, union workers, health care providers and students, that received special invitations) got to attend.

    SOURCE

What a bunch of disgusting, filthy, power-grabbing, socialist liars. How stupid are we as a country to elect them?

    More insanity...

This government takeover of our lives (some call it a "healthcare bill")...

    • It runs more pages than War and Peace
    • It has nearly five times as many words as the Torah
    • Its tables of contents alone run far longer than most news articles.
The bill, unveiled Thursday clocks in at 1,990 pages and about 400,000 words. With an estimated 10-year cost of $894 billion, that comes out to about $2.24 million per word.

And for those who cry “read the bill,” beware. There are plenty of paragraphs like this one:

[IMG] <---THIS is the legislation that will bankrupt our country and destroy what was an outstanding medical system. Congratulations, socialists and looters. You tried for 60 years...and you're pretty close to succeeding...in ruining the US.

I second that too. As it seems like everybody is in the majority!

Not me. I see no reason whatsoever to pay your medical bills for you.
I see no reason whatsoever that the government can force me to.
If you want to rob me of my hard earned money, why don't you have the gumption to try and come and get it for yourself?
    Oh, I see, you can't.
So you want someone else to do it.
Just like you want someone else to take care of you.
    Pathetic.

One thing that really concerns me is the increased burden on the elderly by cutting benefits for Medicare in order to pay for this health care bill.

And the inevitable result: Those on medicare won't be able to find a doctor that accepts it.

That would be correct but actually doctors will be forced to accept medicare.

The result of that mandate will be a reduction in both the quality of treatment (short term) and the quantity of America's medical talent (long term).

Sooner or later this will mean the infamous long waits for treatment and force the necessary profiling as predicted by Ezekiel Emanuel (Medical advisor to the President, Rahm is his brother).
