    The passing of Bro. Ed Sutton was reported by Benjamin as follows:

    Our prayers are with the family as they grieve for their loved one. May the good Lord comfort each and every one as only He can, and may He hasten the day when we will all see Him face to face as our dear Brother Ed is doing right now. What a glorious day it will be indeed!

    I'm so sad. Ed was a dear, sweet man and I can't wait to meet him in heaven when the time comes. May God hold his wife and family in His hands during this hard time.

    I'll miss him. His family is in my prayers. He was a good man, and I know they are grieving.

    I trust that Ed is organizing a "Baptist Board" section of Heaven, and then we will have true fellowship upon our arrivial in Glory! :1_grouphug: as together we all worship our Lord :jesus:

    I'm heartbroken. Ed always had my back, and was frequently one of my biggest cheerleaders. I'm quite saddenned today.

    I remember Ed very well too. He was a jolly good fellow and faithful. It didn't dawn on me that this was "the" Ed, until Barnabas spoke up. He joined back at the beginning with Us Barnabas.

    I was so sad to hear of Ed's death. My heart aches for his family. Praying for Ed's family today. :tear:

    Just read this and my heart sank. I really liked Ed and his posts here, as we agree on quite a bit. I can't wait to catch up with him in Heaven. Praying for his family as well.

    Anyone know what happened? He was just on here 5 weeks ago I believe...

    He had a request in the prayer forum that we pray for him...His cancer had come back.

    Wow, it must have come back with a vengeance. I wish he would post on here from Heaven, he would probably be able to clear up a lot of these debates :D

    One more than one occasion my phone would ring and Ed Sutton would be on the other end. We had several pleasant conversations. I'll miss my fellow Kentuckian, and the replies are already showing how much his BB friends will miss him.

    Even his post about his cancer returning...was a post of a man who was ready to see God.

    He will be missed.

    But praise God, he has reason to rejoice today.
