My prediction now is different that mine before the season started. Now I think it will be:

    New Orleans vs. Denver

New Orleans Saints in the Super Bowl? Yeah, it makes about as much sense as the Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl. BTW, I've never been to Arizona. Do you regularly see cardinals in Arizona? Regardless, I predict that Drew Brees will become the new American hero as the Saints beat the Viqueens, sparing us from 2 weeks of He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named coverage. And if you think I'm joking about 2 weeks of coverage of that guy, consider that Fox Sports had a camera at the Packers-Queens game last week that did nothing but follow him.

If you want to have your mind blown, consider that we could have the Who Dat Who Dey Superbowl. But, I think I'm going with a Colts/Saints Super Bowl.

I'd love to see the Saints and the Colts duke it out. Might just happen.

With the playoff picture starting to come together, I'm going with the Vikings defeating whoever makes it out of the AFC.

If there is anything you can count on, it is Peyton Manning folding in the playoffs. It is a close call between the Broncos, Chargers and Bengals and you can never count out Belichick.

I'm going to go with the Vikings over the Broncos because I believe Josh McDaniels is the real thing as the next big NFL coach.

I think it should go to the Cleveland Browns because they really want to do a good job.

Oh wait, this isn't the Nobel Peace Prize, is it?

Then how do you explain that Super Bowl ring Peyton Manning is wearing?

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then. ;)

Gotta give kudos on the victory against the Patriots that year.

Outside of 2006, Peyton has been pretty consistent in his playoff performances. Maybe be breaks the trend again this year. I wouldn't play those odds.

Indeed. The Vikings looked unstoppable last night. Oh, wait...

Yep. He totally folded in that AFC Championship game and the Super Bowl.

Chargers 32, Broncos 3 on November 22nd. Not very close. Chargers and Bungles are closer. You can count out Belichick this year because the Patriots have an awful defense.

    Fair enough.

Anyone joe can pick a Saints-Colts superbowl based on their current records. But if we learned anything from last year's superbowl, it's that the playoffs are a whole different ball game. Sure, the Colts, Saints and Chargers might have superior talent and depth to take the grind of the regular season, but I have a gut feeling that Favre and McDaniels will know how to do what it takes to win playoff football. I could be wrong but I think it will be a lot more fun than just picking the favourites.

But if I thought the Colts and Saints were going to be there, why wouldn't I choose them?

I thought I was just putting up my picks on this thread. I didn't realize you respected my opinion so much that I could control who you think can go to the superbowl. ;) You can do whatever you want.

I didn't realize that you had called for a Colts-Saints superbowl earlier in the thread. My comment was not a jab at your call. Sorry if it came off that way.
