White House Senior Adviser David Axelrod suggested Sunday that President Obama will intervene to make sure a controversial amendment restricting federal funding for abortion coverage is stripped from final health care reform legislation.

In doing so, the president would be heeding the call of abortion rights supporters like Planned Parenthood that have called the White House their "strongest weapon" in keeping such restrictions out of the bill.

Since it will kill any chance that might remain of the bill passing perhaps taking out the amendment would be good.

Understood but that does not change his intent.

I was naive to not see earlier that Obama is committed to abortion regardless of reason. This alone disqualifies him as both being a good man or a good president.

The strange thing to me is that as a black man, Obama should see that abortion has decimated the black race in America.

Then, considering his support for both partial birth abortion and the refusal to support legislation that would save the life of a baby who survives a botched abortion, it is difficult to support him on any front!

My guess is that if the truth were known Obama doesn't like black folks any more than he does white folks. He seems to have a preference for the followers of Mohammed though.

You may be correct, but I think Obama's main motive is to please those who will support him at the polls. It's all about party politics and power. But, to be willing to sacrifice children on the alter of politics is nothing short of what the Canaanites did before God ordered their annihilation.
