Why I am not registered with a major political party

1) Because I dont always agree with the republicans, and I dont always agree with the democrats

2) I dont like how the 2 party system sometimes causes people to demonize those on the other side.

For those reasons I am a moderate independant. I pay no regard to the party anyone is affiliated with...I simply vote for who I think is best.

It might be. I am an unaffiliated independent. A staunch pro-lifer with several qualified liberal views such as being a conservationist (as opposed to an environmentalist). I support a few bleeding heart causes such as giving occassionally to non-radical Animal Cruelty Prevention groups.

I also give to other "undeserving" classes of society like the homeless, etc.

I support the view that illegal aliens (once they are here) should be cared for when in need, especially the children.

I thought I worded my post so clearly that nobody could misunderstand, but apparently I didnt. :tonofbricks:

No, moderate means moderate...not liberal.

I stay right smack dab in the middle, considering both sides equally. If I had chosen to keep track of wich way I went on every issue...wich I have no interest in doing...my guess would be that I side with the Republican/conservative view maybe 55% of the time, and the Democrat/liberal view maybe 45% of the time.

But I really couldnt care less what party any one is affiliated with.

My choices are based only on which one I agree the most with.

Thats why I am an independant, and thats why I am "moderate"
