So far I'm good. No sweets with real sugar, no high fat foods. Used to love the turkey skin all crisp and golden, wouldn't touch it, it's all fat under there. Ate exactly like I do everyday. Didn't even over eat. Plan on making it through the rest of the year that sameway. None of that food is worth what I feel like now after losing weight.

    Good for you, Donna! Seriously!

I've not gained any weight and I've really not eaten all that much food. But since my stomach has really shrunk, I did technically overeat. It was uncomfortable. It was only one small plate (without sideboards. LOL!).

But I also kept up with my walking, so that helped.

Still, I'm glad the pumpkin roll will be finished off this evening.

I pigged out on Thursday and was miserable that night. I did send most the leftovers out of here with the guests, so that helped.

Friday, for lunch I made a huge bowl of leftover mashed potatoes with noodles, gravy and turkey on top, it was 7:30 before I felt up to doing my workout and I gave it that a rigorous 2 hours, then had a turkey sandwich.

Saturday, I was a bum and ate another turkey sandwich and two pieces of pie for lunch and my wife had bought New York steaks for dinner (what was she thinking?!). I later decided I might as well finish off the last two pieces of pie and get this over with...

Had pancakes this morning and now am thinking about yet another turkey sandwich (we cooked two large turkeys) but think I will freze the rest.

Tommorow, all this will hopefully be behind me and my stomach will be flat again by the end of the week....:tonofbricks:

I'm doing just fine. Shoot, I could give lessons. :D

I'm still working on leftovers. My sister-in-law and I had the bright idea of us all cooking this year instead of going out like we have the past few years. I still have a heaping platter of turkey in the fridge, as well as about a third of a pan of dressing. Looks like I am the only one who will touch it, too (everything else is already gone... somehow :D).

I'm still ticked that my sister-in-law took it upon herself to abscond with one of the buttermilk pies I made. While my mother-in-law usually makes her one, she didn't cook them this year. My SiL didn't even ask, either... she just carried it off when she left, pie carrier and all. Pardon me but that is just rude. And she had the nerve to whine about forgetting to bring her two "huge" (her word) take-home plates (she usually tries to take the vast majority of leftovers with her no matter who cooked so she won't have to cook or buy groceries... yes, she is that cheap).

Oh, well. Next year we will go out instead. We always cook at Christmas (more along the lines of finger foods) and Easter (gotta have a ham).

I usually always gain weight starting with the halloween candy through New Year's day.

To date this year, I've acrually lost a pound. Woohoo!

You have to understand, I have two Spiritual gifts - eating and sleeping, and I exercised both of them quite well on Thursday!

I eat pretty much the same all year round due to health problems that restrict my diet. I did rather pig out Thanksgiving day though.
