2Ki 8:13 And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath shewed me that thou shalt be king over Syria. 14 So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover. 15 And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.

Waterboarding is suffocating. And if not properly supervised will lead to death by drowning. And for the point of this thread as the preacher has said "there is nothing new under the sun."

    Nope, not in the Bible.

Man that King James Version is confusing. I wouldn't be able to tell you heads or tales who did what to whom. Went and checked my NET and HCSB to understand it better.

Waterboarding, waterboarding...... while I don't have (under the spout) first hand experience, several of my shipmates in training in the Navy SERE School were waterboarded. I wonder if you realize that probably a hundred times more US soldiers and sailors have been waterboarded than terrorist.

Forget torture. They just killed 'em in the bible. The enemy knew this and feared them for it.

Today our enemies laugh at our emasculated forces, knowing they will be treated better than any peasant should they be captured and will not be tortured, talked crossly to, or even made to lift a finger. Unfortunately our troops also know, should they be captured, they will be starved, tortured, maimed, and murdered, period.

I am glad in that country that we, especially Christians, don't act like terrorists do.
