Paul Washer video?

I love Paul Washer. Funny thing about Paul Washer is that when people play clips of his preaching, they tend to play very dramatic parts, so most people don't realize that Washer is actually a very funny guy.

In one message, he revealed that he loves Shai Linne and LaCrea (two Christian rappers), which would probably come as a shock to a lot of people.

And, just so you know, if you think an hour is a long message, you're getting off lucky. Most of his sermons are around an hour and forty minutes.

 

If you listen to enough of Paul Washer's sermons, eventually he will make you uncomfortable because you become convinced he prepared his message with you in mind.

I know from personal experience. Some of his messages I do not enjoy when he preaches directly to me.

 

I love the way Paul Washer explains the Cross. For most preachers the Cross is just a shouting point that "makes good preachin.'" Paul Washer explains it with an in-depth "stop and think about this" kind of reverence.

I love it when he explains that God cannot simply forgive sin and be just. He must punish sin. Therefore, for God to be just and forgive sin, Jesus had to bear the wrath of the punishment for sin. When you see just how God views sin and how wretched it really is, then you see just how extreme the Cross really is. I love to ponder the magnitude of the Cross. It is not just simply an academic program for salvation.

 

Paul Washer is what a lot of Baptist churches need today and that is the preaching of depraved man in the hands of a holy God. He truly expounds the "T" in the TULIP. I agree with the other poster in here that you cannot watch much of him without a great amount of conviction.

 

Absolutely one of the greatest, if not THE greatest preacher alive today, hsi reward will be great!
