Obama's first year in office has been strange to say the least. It was obvious during the campaign that he was a Marxist. Joe the Plumber recognized that. During his time in office Obama has been relatively passive when it comes to moving his Marxist agenda, at least publicly, leaving that task to Pelosi and Reed.

In foreign affairs his initial performance was disgraceful for an American president; running around the world apologizing for for this country which saved the world from Japan and Germany in WWII and from Communist Soviet aggression post WWII.

What is most troubling to me about Obama is his attitude toward Islam. Bringing the five terrorists to New York for trial may be simply a means of putting the CIA, President Bush, and vice-President Cheney on trial. Trying these men in a civilian court gives them a platform with which to denounce and vilify the United States possibly for years. That in itself would be grounds for impeachment. That being said I wonder if he has a hidden agenda that if known would reveal his true nature, perhaps his real religion .

Sure he does, as did George W. Bush and just about everyone in the U.S. Congress and in power in Washington, D.C. and the capitals throughout the world - the same one they have had for decades - the New World Order.

The uninvited guests in the White House recently may have been reminders to President Obama by the Powers That Really Run Things In The World that he had best stay in line with that hidden agenda and not get any wild ideas about straying from it for personal gain.

Here we go into Alex Jones territory. While I don't doubt that conspiracies do occur (JFK), it is a huge mistake to automatically assume that everything is. Instead of tearing everyone down and freaking out, we should have constructive political discourse. Sadly, both the right and left wing extremes do not want that.

Alex Jones is correct about what is really going on in public affairs more so than any other talk show host. One can listen to his radio show any time of the day at www.infowars.com.

I don't believe his agenda has been "hidden" at all.

His ultimate goal is to destroy America as we know it, strip us of our wealth, and redistribute it according to his marxist views to those that he considers more deserving.

    Carpo,

I think you're right, Obama does what he does in broad daylight. He doesn't hide the fact that he hates America as he has said so many times, if we will just listen.

That's so absurd that it's hard to respond to. If anyone "hates America" it's the Republicans, although I think making statements like that is unfair and, I hope, untrue. The modern far-right movement wants to shred the Constitution and fundamentally change this country with torture, illegal wiretapping, Patriot Act, extraordinary rendition, doubling the national debt, etc. When I went in November 2008 and cast my vote for a slate of electors pledged to Barack Obama, I was doing my part to take back my country from the connies. Not that Mr. Obama is perfect, but it's a huge improvement over the Cheney admininstration. I just don't understand the far right mindset.

Nor do I. Paul, these neo-McCarthyite, Bircher, Birther boys want to remake our nation into something it never was, nor never intended to be. Your comments are very well stated. I voted primarily Democratic because I believe that the ideals that the party espouses are closer to what America should be, and can be. Are the Democrats perfect? Of course not. But I believe in an America where no family need fear losing its home because someone gets sick. I believe in an America where opportunity is not based on being born into priviledge, but that by lifting everyone up, everyone benefits. A high tide raises all boats. I believe in an America where the insurance company "death panels" don't decide to pull the plug on grandma based on how expensive her care is, and how much it will cost the company.

All of which has absolutely nothing to do with redistribution of wealth.

At any rate, as a wannabe attorney Kool Aide drinker, you should apply for work with the Obama administration. I'm sure they could use another brain dead attorney that knows as little as they do about how to assure national security.

While you're there, you can finish your indoctrination into marxism. Until you learn how to steal the money of hardworking Americans to give to the UN for redistribution to 3rd world countries, you're not really in their league.

It took a lot of words to say that you believing in stealing from those who earn a living and giving it to those that either don't or won't...all according to your own measure of their worth.

Equal misery for all is your credo. (Except for you and your ilk, of course)
    Marx would love you.

If the Obama administration finishes the job that has been going on for decades by the two major parties to destroy freedom in this country and put the elite totally in control of everyone's life it will be easier to assure national security. I consider that to be way too high a price to pay for national security...but that's where we continue heading as a country.

I agree and have said that many times on this Forum. However, some of the things he has done relative to the Islamic world add a new dimension for me even if he did send more troops to Afghanistan. Moving the trial of the terrorists to New York and his intent to persecute certain CIA officials are two examples. Perhaps his bowing to the keeper of the Islamic holy sites was a tipoff.

Actually, as far as politics is concerned, it is obvious that you understand nothing.

The democrat party has been the home of the Marxists at least since the days of FDR. I don't doubt that you and Paul believe in the ideals of the democrat platform for developing a Marxist state to replace the Constitutional Republic. It is obvious from the tenor your posts.

You do know that Obama has not ended wiretapping, expanded aspects of the Patriot Act, continues rendition, and has increased the national debt, don't you ? If you voted for Obama for the reasons you stated, then you must feel like a fool.

How absolutely absurd. There are certain things we can provide as a group better than we can as individuals. Do you object to having a socialized fire department, and hire your own firefighters? Do you hate it that your money is taken to pay the firemen who put out your neigbor's home when it is ablaze? Do you have your own police force, because you object to socialized police?

Individualism is fine, but there is a price to be part of a society. None of us can sustain ourselves without the society we are born into. I don't mind my taxes paying to put out the fire in my neighbor's house; and I don't mind my taxes paying to give him or her life saving surgery. I got news for you...we already pay for it. The only difference is we take away people's homes and dignity before writing it off. Every doctor bill you and your insurance company pay includes a "premium" for the uninsured. We can provide better care for all and do it cheaper than what we are doing now. I don't call it "shared misery". I call it a civilized society.

Just more proof that when it gets down to it, with the connies it is all about "my money". I call that selfish. You and your "ilk" prove that every day.

    Strawman.

The argument of the left is dishonest. Funneling money through the government is not the only option. So your accusation of "selfishness" is unfounded and immature. But that is to be expected when you have no support for what you personally want and to ignore the constitution.

Not at all. Your personal attacks show your lack of integrity. It is not about my maturity. It is about the fact that some things are more efficiently done by government. You ignore my questions. How about you? Do you have your own fire department and resent the government taking "your money" to pay for fire protection for everyone? Give me reasons why or why not.

And it is a matter of constitutional interpretation. I believe "promote the common welfare" means that universal healthcare is not unconstitutional. Also, there is a matter of case and common law that has been built over the years to settle constitutional issues that bear the same weight. You claiming universal healthcare is not constitutional doesn't make it so. Sorry.

OR, it's hard to have a rational conversation with you because you don't make rational arguments. No one wants to develop a "Marxist state". For most things, our current system works very well. If I, for example, think Doritos cost too much, I can go to Lay's or Fritos, or Ruffles, or just go without potato chips. Health care is a little different. It's probably best to not eat potato chips, but if you don't have health insurance and you can't get healthcare, you could die.

Answer this: If Canada's healthcare is so bad, why do they have a longer life expectancy and spend less money on healthcare?
