Informal Fellowship and Coffee (we meet in a hotel banquet room)

Welcome and Prayer (by host of home or one of the elders)

Scripture Reading (unison from back of hymnal, since we have many good translations used)

Hymns of Worship (I select the first one, then we sing about 10 others; all verses; chosen by the people)

Sharing (Blessings, prayer needs, scriptures, paragraphs from book, special reading or music by children)

Prayer (all men who so desire pray)

Communion (fathers serve to family then pass it to next father; elder serves singles)

Short break to stand, greet one another, refill coffee, empty bladder

Exposition of the Word (40-50 minutes; message 23 from Matthew this Sunday (5:19-20)

Discussion/Application of the Sermon (open to all to ask questions, give testimony of how the text works for them, etc)

    Hymn

    Concluding Prayer

Start fellowship at 10:15 am and work diligently to be done by 12:45 or 1:00 pm. This week we will share a love feast (I'm making au gratin potatoes and ham), and this always leads to in-depth discussions on issues, doctrines or perceived needs. We do not allow talking about the Vikings or the weather, etc. We will probably focus this week on Haiti.

    Greetings to everybody!

Here is how we have it in our church:
    Welcome and Prayer
    1-2 Hymns
Reading from the Scripture and a short message (5-10 min)
    Prayer
    2 Hymns
    Message (up to 45 minutes)
    Prayer
    Offerings
    Anouncements
    Closing prayer
    (approx. 1.5 hours)

But in most our churches there are three sermons, so the whole thing lasts 2 hours+.
